Both series' are idol shows that are more drama focused, rather than focusing more on 'idol things' like music and dancing etc. They both also show a lot of personal drama, as opposed to conflicts within the group
More so, both series' have overarching plots/lore that goes beyond the simplicity of basic idol shows
