Both shows try to show the "reality" behind the idol industry. They talk a lot about the nature of relationships between idol/celebrities and their fans and often use the same topics like "how fans would react to an idol being in a relationship". The differences would be that the tone is way more comedic in OshiBudou and that he issues aren't treated as seriously as in Oshi no Ko, but it could be interesting if you want to see more of these topics in a dedicated anime.

It's about idols without big fanbase. They have really well written characters and songs!

Both are related to idols and feature a character that is unhealthily obsessed with them. Although, its a side character in Heroine Tarumono and the main character in Oshi ga Budokan

The comedy is similar, as in the jokes themselves and the way the jokes are set out. Also the animation and flow of the animes remind me of each other.

Both involve up and coming idol groups working on growing and reaching a concert goal. Shine Post primarily maintains the perspective of the idols themselves, while OshiBudou largely takes the perspective of the fans. However they both show each side of the idol group in terms of their management/training and how their performances are received by their fans.

Both series are idol anime with a twist/unique angle. If the traditional idol genre isn't for you, these two series might be a good entry point.

Both animes show us the working day of idols and funny fan support. In both animes we see how idols treat fans and try to accommodate their wishes. Both anime have a lot of time is given to fans discussing their idols.

Whether you worship figures of your favorite 2D girls, or buy every piece of merch of your favorite 3D idols, you might find something to relate to in these shows' protagonists sharing the same obsessive hobbies and feeling no shame about it.

Both presenting it's idol culture and plotline in happy way with no hard drama on it. Although locodol didn't touch the "fan" or "wota" POV.
