The first episode of both series are similar to each other; they both have hand-grabbing and kissing between the two guys that must be bonded. This is probably due to the fact that the same people who worked on Loveless are working on Monochrome factor too.

People that like Bleach and also like (mild) Shounen Ai, might also like Monochrome Factor! There are a lot of things similar! The main character is a young boy that can see things that others can't, and he has to transform to fight them. Also, Bleach & Monochrome Factor have both funny scenes & fighting scenes.

When your protagonists kiss each other to form a contract and one member of each other those parties comes from a world parallel to the real world, you might as well call two animes similar, especially when they both involve fighting creatures from that other world that mean them (and countless others) harm.

Similar themes and style. Both series have comedy, action, drama, and some shonen-ai. The setting of these two series also takes place @ school.

If you compare the story in Nabari no Ou and the story in Monochrome Factor it won't look very similar at all... Nabari no Ou involves Ninjas while Monochrome Factor involves demons and ghosts. However the comedy factor of the two shows are similar and the balanced amount of action makes both shows very exciting. Monochrome Factor is highly recommended to you who thought of the comedy aspect of Nabari no Ou to be appealing.

Shirogane resembles and almost acts exactly like the Undertaker. The style is also got that 'pretty boy' element and the magical graphic elements included in Kuro. It's just got a large combination of Square Enix's pretty boy stuff with the Loveless elements and some Sex Therapist manga moments thrown in.

I cannot stress enough how close these two anime are. Yami no Matsuei, Descendants of Darkness in english, is a supernatural mystery anime where the two main characters are two shinigami that go around solving mysteries about demons. Overall, the plot lines are very similar as the first part of the episode or arc is about finding the culprit, and then getting rid of the monster inside of them. There is also a hint of shounen-ai in Yami no Matsuei as the main characters create a bond through fighting together with unrevealed intimate feelings. Just like Monochrome factor, the over-arching plot line is dark, but  read more

Kokuchi are possesing human bodies and powering them up in Monochrome Factor, as demons are doing that to people in Ao no Exorcist....It seems similar. xD

Similar vibe with demons/shadow monsters and a choosen one. In Makai Ouji, William is the descendant of Solomon and must choose his elector. One who will serve and protect him. Since in the Makai world, demons are trying to kill him and prevent Solomon's revivlal. In Monochrome Factor, Akira must become a "shin"- a creature of the shadow world- in order to help restore the balance. There are BL moments here and there.

Both have lots similarities, like the disappearance of people, in Shana people totally forgets about you under certain circumstances and in this one is through the lose of your shadow. They both set an alternate version of the real world for battles and both even have a Tsundere relationship between the main characters. If you like one for the comedy and battles formula, then you should give a try to the other too.

Both anime have some funny moments that give comic relief to the action, and they also both have a main male character that has 'special' powers; also, both main characters have a male and a female sidekick who are badass. They also have to fight similar creatures and the fighting style is also very similar. However, if you don't like shounen ai suggestive themes then Monochrome Factor isn't for you ^_^

There are complicated relationship between two main characters. They are truly alive only with each other.

A bit of an unlikely pair of male protagonists team up to fight supernatural threats and to save the friends of one of the protagonists. The other protagonist is older, and more entrenched in the supernatural world, for they are the ones that brought protagonists #1 into the supernatural world fully. Mix in some action/adventure, friendship, and BL undertones, and you have yourself two very similar anime.

Both main character's get an unexspecting twist when they meet a strange and mysterious person on the streets. Fallowing after a series of events that have them wrapped up in an odd mess of things. Both series also contain a good amount of humor as well as a bit of romance between two characters.

i just think it has a similar feel to it, some serious fighting, but also involves a lot of comedy. :) Weird powers, magic, if you like them, then both of these shows are for you.

Both are fantasy shounen series. Both male leads have strong sense of righteousness and are somehow stupid in a way and of course, both of them are fighting to save the world.

Similar in telling a story that ends up on a much larger scale than it started! World and existential issues caught up in a coming-of-age type story. Both have lots of relatively complex minor characters. And both are frequently funny, while also tackling some deep stuff!

both are about a group of friends who go off to fight for something they believe in. the cast of characters are similar in both.

They are both really similar in that the main character is intelligent and cool!!!XD & they both dont care about anything, nor do they have many friends in the beginning. The ending is quite similar too! it ends up that both animes doesnt explain at all everything and makes you think there will be a second season.

Supernatural themes really, i just felt that the stories were very similar. Both 10/10

Fighting off "kokuchi"s reminds me off fighting off X eggs in Shugo Chara.

Both animes has the protaganist fight in a parallel dimension.

Getbackers was probably the first one in mind when I saw Monochrome Factor. Both series showcases an array of bishonen characters, bromance, double/hidden personality (see Akira and Ginji), effeminate characters (see Shirogane and Kazuki), action, supernatural, comedy and the shounen-ai subtext that will make fangirls beg for more.
