The same wicked plot where people get themselves into situations where losing is not an option if one is incapable of facing the consequences.

1. They both involve life or death competitions 2. Very strategic and thrilling Dissimilarities: 1. C involves competition for money where the loser gives it to the winner, Dorei-ku is to control the loser's life and own them as a person in general. 2. C is more fictional as they go to a completely different world pretty much to do these competitions, whereas Dorei-ku is in the real world, where they fight for their rights to remain a "human" rather than become a slave to the winner

They both deal with gambling and intense moments and the characters look like they will get F**ked over at some point

Both shows feature a rather sizeable cast where the focus changes frequently from character to character in order to reveal more sides to the plot.

+Both Anime deal with games, gambling and/or high stakes wagers. +Both are intense/suspenseful where the players life is on the line. +Both have "strategic mastermind" type MC's/Protagonists/Antagonists (more-so NGNL imo as Dorei-ku has only just started...). -NGNL is more of a Suspense/Comedy/Fantasy genre, Whereas Dorei-ku is more of a Suspense/Thriller/Drama type so far it seems. -NGNL's MC's are MUCH more enigmatic/charismatic imo and is likely a far better anime overall. Though they are similar in some aspects, the overall "feel" for Dorei-ku is darker and goes in a different direction. I've yet to see what Dorei-ku is made of (as it's so early on in the season),  read more

Both stories are about a male MC who start to play willingly or not some very dangerous games that can cost them their lives. The male MCs are pretty clever and they usually outsmart their oponents. The side characters and villains are some obsessed or crazy in the head people.

Both have psychological horror elements with the plot focusing on people controlling the minds of others. Most of the time it is not good people doing the controlling, so it can be intense and difficult to watch. Pet delves deeper into psychological aspects and is harder to understand while Dorei-ku is more of a crude dramatic thriller with characters being forced to obey others.

Both anime involve gambling of sorts and each episode keeps you in suspense, wondering what will happen next. Both also contain a psychological element associated with taking high risks that keeps you interested. Basically, if you liked this Kakegurui, I highly recommend that you try Dorei-ku The Animation.
