There both pretty much the same thing the main characher is a Vampire/Ghoul who dosen't want to hurt anyway, the only real different is Devil Line more of a romance well Tokyo Ghoul is more of a Psychological type anime.

The same plot where it involve supernatural monsters whom blends well with the human populace and threatens human lives, also it have the same scenario where the gov't uses one of their own to combat them.

Both are vampire romances - Vampire Knight is shoujo and Devils Line's romance is very shoujo-like. Both feature an angsty vampire guy who hates himself for being one (Zero / Anzai) and refuses to drink blood; in both he is in love with the mc girl who isn't bothered by the fact that he is a vampire. VK is has a love triangle, DL does not. Vampire Knight has a gothic feel whereas Devils Line has an urban and modern setting.

A love story between two different species. The guy is the awkward one and the girl is the confident one. The girl is in danger because of the guy. Also, there's that lovely hint of awkwardness in their love life as they struggle to figure out what they can do with each other.

Watching Call of The Night reminded me of Devil's Line in the sense that Devil's Line is about a human and Vampire(who's also a detective ) who meet up and become deeply romantically linked, but being a Vampire brings lots of difficulties on a personal level as well as in their day to day relationship- and it's maturely tackled as the story progresses, as the main couple strives to make it work, Vampires have to deal with being outcasts, but also play a very crucial and visible role in helping Society, while being seen as possible threats - Call of the Night captures that, but  read more

In both of these titles they both have people that drink blood, in Devil's Line they are called devils, and in Mars Red they are known as vampires. The only difference is that vampires have to drink blood in order to survive while devils don't have to use it to live. But if a devil or a vampire has too much blood they can become addicted and constantly seek more by killing anyone they see. That is why in both series there is a special unit team made up of vampires or devils that hunt them. But everyone in these teams has a constant fear  read more

Both animes are suited for more mature audience, one is mainly for it's violent scenes, and the afterimage of the death, while Devils Line is mainly more mature for it's hints of adult actions. Devil's line is also quite violent in terms of certain episodes, so for action, horror, and a tinge of anime, watch one or "another." :P P.S. Sorry if this recommendation is bad, it's my first one, and it's a bit hard for me to summarize the differences that got me into both animes...

At first glance these two might as well have nothing in common in terms of story telling and characters. However what they do have in common are, for a lack of better terms vibes. If you liked Ayashi no Ceres for it's different take on romance, one that is "mature" and comes to "fruition", Devill's Lane is sort of similar. The romance is mature, in a way they are obvious to each other, and the only reason it's not coming to fruition in the anime adaptation is due to outside circumstances but that ain't stopping feelings and actions from taking place.

Devils Line follows a similar formula to Ajin in which it talks about a different race amongst humans who are potentially dangerous. It also talks about the political aspects of one group against another, the public's reaction, and government involvement. The action and the moral discussions are also very similar. The only difference between the two is the romance aspect in Devils Line, but it makes the show that much more charming.

These anime just really have an overall sense of familiarity with each other. Secret Organizations Main Guy has amnesia of past events Grand schemes and plotting from multiple groups/enemies Government/political innuendo Cool high tech gadgets Innocent Female who is romantically involved and gets into dangerous situations with Main Male

Vampires. Human character befriends vampire that protects them from harm and other bloodsuckers. Servamp is more light in tone, but it also has it's dramatic momens just like Devils Line.

Both animes have vampires and romance. But Devils' Line is more mature and has more action (and does not contain a love triangle as in Vampire Knight).

Both tell the story of a vampire boy and a human girl who slowly fall in love. Both animes are enjoyable. If you loved Sweet Bite Marks, you would surely love Devils' Line.

Romance, vampire(s), and a secret government trying to control the relationships between humans and non-humans. While Devils Line is more focused on romance, and Phantom in the Twilight is more like a group of friends battling side-by-side. Both anime have a refreshing kind of humor, and can handle their darker moments quite well. Not to mention that they each have MC girls that are not completely useless, which is definitely a plus!
