Cutesy shows that tackle the harsh reality of workplace culture and self-identity. Both manage to be charming and relaxing while brutally honest.

-Office worker in mid twenties/thirties copes with life's stresses, impermanence, and possibility of growing old alone -Relaxing atmosphere with pastel colors and mellow soundtrack -Main character realizes there is still a kid in all of us no matter how old we are -Relatable and underrated slice of life shows

Both shows are adult slice-of-life anime with subtly harsh, but realistic themes about growing up and wanting friends/family. Rilakkuma to Kaoru is a rare josei with beautiful stopmotion while 3-gatsu is a rare seinen with beautiful Shaft art and animation. In other words, they are probably the best you'll find for both targeted groups in terms of aesthetic quality and slice of life and directly relatable anime.

Charming slice of life stop motion animations by dwarf about office ladies and their fluffy companions—anthropomorphic stuffed toys in Rilakkuma to Kaoru-san and Pokémon in Pokemon Concierge. Watch the protagonists deal with the struggles of adulthood and enjoy their daily lives with their fluffy friends.

these are fairy tales for adults that immerse us in the soulful world of the author. this is a lesson demanding works to understand... they can be felt but what would you understand you need to immerse yourself in the author's background... well, I think so

both are half-length episodes aimed kids anime that have adult themes such as working, caring for family and etc. Zenryoku Usagi is more comedic while Rilakkuma is more slice of life-ish and Rilakkuma have more diverse themes despite being shorter and Zenryoku Usagi is really more focused on working

An old claymation Russian cartoon that got dubbed into Japanese. Cheburashka is a little guy who winds up on some man's door step in a box of oranges and then he becomes friends with a crocodile. A little weirder/darker than RtK, but that's because it's a series of Soviet-era cartoons and you can see the decline of the Soviet Union in them. Still oddly sweet in it's own way, you'll like it if you like the animation style and the meandering, slice-of-life plotlines.

Both feature a human girl who hangs out with animals that act like people and that people can understand, both are clean, and both give a homey feel.
