Synopsis

There isn't a single person in Sakuradamon High who hasn't heard the legends about Seiji "The Mad Dog" Sawamura's demonically powerful right hand. His reputation makes it fairly difficult for him to approach girls, and after being rejected 20 times straight, he half-jokingly vows to finish high school with his right hand for a girlfriend.

Much to his surprise, after waking up the next morning, Seiji discovers that his demon right hand has mysteriously turned into a miniature girl, Midori Kasugano, who reveals that she has had a crush on Seiji for the past three years. Because their situation is not ideal for either of them, Seiji attempts to return Midori to normal. But after causing a big misunderstanding at the Kasugano household, the pair decide to keep their predicament between them until a solution is found. Thus begins an odd relationship, and what could be the only chance for Midori to finally be with the one she loves.

Midori day's is a Kafkaesque surreal masterpiece. I give this show a 10/10. It follows the same plot as Kafka's metamorphosis, except with a beautiful romantic twist. Don't listen to ANY OF THE HATERS. They don't know true love. Seiji and Midori show the truest of loves. If you disagree you are brainwashed and have to seek immediate counseling and therapy. The show is a perfect mix between comedy and romance. The show has aged like fine wine. So what if the premise is a little weird, girl on guys arm but if you think about a lot of things that we think are epic ...

Mixed Feelings
Midori no Hibi may initially appear unconventional, introducing a rather strange premise, but as the series unfolds, it adheres closely to the conventions of typical romance anime. While the show heavily relies on comedic moments, they grow increasingly repetitive and exhausting towards the series' conclusion. Character development follows a standard trajectory within the genre, offering little deviation, ultimately leading the characters back to where they began (which is not very satisfying) . Although there are occasional scenes featuring high-quality animation, the majority of the series remains rather average in terms of visual appeal. The biggest flaw of Midori no Hibi lies in its conventional nature, ...

Gives new meaning to the term "hand job."

The art work here is no better than meh, and drops to yuck as the series progresses. The animation is never much good, but it gets horrendous in some of the middle episodes. About as cheaply done as they could get away with.

The character designs are laughable, and not because they are meant to be comedic. Midori at least starts out amusing, but the writers pound her into the ground in a hurry. The MC comes off as a total putz. I kept hoping the local deliquents would catch him and kick his ass for good.

Is there ...
