Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records

The Alzano Empire is home to one of the most distinguished magic schools in the world: the Alzano Imperial Magic Academy. Here, ambitious young students undergo training to become competent magicians. Sistine Fibel—a stern noble girl—and her bright-eyed best friend Rumia Tingel attend the Academy, determined to cultivate their magical skills.

However, their world is thrown for a loop when their favorite teacher suddenly retires and the enigmatic Glenn Radars replaces him. His lazy and indifferent attitude toward life and magic quickly puts him at odds with his class. What's more, nefarious forces hidden within the empire's walls start to become active, and Sistine, Rumia, and Glenn find themselves caught up in their schemes.

Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records follows Sistine, who is captivated by a mysterious floating Sky Castle; Rumia, who is haunted by a troubled past; and Glenn, who may be more than meets the eye. Though completely different on the surface, they are inexplicably bound together by a thread of fate.

Man, just thinking about this anime Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records brings back all the good vibes! I mean, this anime is seriously one of my all-time favorites, and for good reason. The story's got everything: action, humor, heart... and a healthy dose of magic, of course!

Glenn, the main character, is literally the coolest. At first, he seems like your typical lazy teacher, but boy, does he have some tricks up his sleeve! His magic skills are insane, and his sharp wit and cleverness make him a total boss. I love how he always manages to outsmart his opponents, even when the odds are ... stacked against him.

And the action scenes? Whoa. They're intense, they're epic, and they're ridiculously well-animated. I mean, the production team seriously outdid themselves on this one. The animation and art are top-notch, and the fight choreography is some of the best I've ever seen.

But what really makes this anime stand out is the characters. Sistine, with her secret crush on Glenn, is adorable - and her tsundere personality just adds to her charm! And Rumia? She's just the sweetest, most innocent thing ever. I love how the anime balances the humor and the heartwarming moments, and how it never gets too sappy or melodramatic.

The ending, though... wow. Just wow. I won't give it away, but let's just say it's totally satisfying, and it left me grinning from ear to ear. Hats off to the author for creating such a unique and compelling storyline, and major props to the production team for bringing it all to life. If you haven't seen this anime yet, do yourself a favor and give it a watch. Trust me, you won't regret it!

Mixed Feelings

Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor has all the elements to be one of the most entertaining anime but ultimately ends up being very meh.

The story/characters are either cliche, disappointing, annoying, uninteresting or boring.
Its about a seemingly incompetent bastard substitute magic teacher (Glenn Radars) who ends up being quite knowledgeable.

And of course you have the two cliche female main characters. One is a tsundere (Sistine Fibel) who ends up falling in love with the main character. The other (Rumia Tingel) is secretly a princess with a hidden power.
You also have the emotionless kuudere childhood friend who shows up to create a love triangle. Very ... by the books anime.

Its very similar to The misfit of Demon King Academy especially in terms of character design.
This is unsurprising since anime tend to copy and paste each other's designs left and right.

Thing is the main characters aren't that bad. They have alot of potential, but the anime doesn't use them to their full potential. The story does nothing interesting.
The villains are so boring i forgot they existed. Its just cliche evil organization doing evil experiment.

The main character Glenn is wasted. He has the ability to nullify magic around him (including his own), and is highly skilled at hand to hand combat. Unfortunately the anime doesn't take advantage of this to create fun battles.
When Glenn actually gets to use his hand to hand combat skills is when you do get the more entertaining battles, but the choreography is lacking. Still better compared to boring magic laser show type combat.

Conclusion: The anime does nothing with what it has.

It's incredible how this anime managed to lose itself so much in just 12 episodes. Magic anime isn't really my cup of tea, but I found Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records promising, at least in the beginning.

The start is quite entertaining and introduces you to a world of magic with characters that captivate you for a brief period. However, strange things start happening in this anime, and it loses its value.

At a certain point, the story became somewhat confusing; it felt like it wasn't going anywhere. When new characters were introduced, this feeling of incomprehension became even stronger.

In short, the anime seemed like it ... was going to provide me with some enjoyable entertainment on a lazy afternoon, but it ended up leaving me with the feeling of "please just end already."

I'm disappointed with the direction the story took because I initially saw a lot of potential.

É incrível como esse anime conseguiu se perder tanto em apenas 12 episódios. Animes de magia não são tanto do meu gosto, porém eu achei Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records promissor, pelo menos no início.

O início é bem divertido e te apresenta a um mundo de magia com personagens que te cativam por um pequeno período. Porém coisas estranhas começam a acontecer nesse anime e ele perde seu valor.

A partir de um ponto a história estava um tanto confusa, parecia que ela não estava indo a lugar algum. Quando introduzido a novos personagens esse sentimento de incompreensão se tornou maior.

Em suma, o anime parecia que ia me entregar um bom divertimento em um fim de tarde, mas acabou que me trouxe apenas o sentimento de "acabe logo, por favor".

Fico triste com o rumo que a história tomou pois inicialmente vi muito potencial
