Both series treats about a group of youngsters in what seems to be a post-apocaliptic world who have to deal with weird, monstrous aliens in a society ruled by mysterious adults, where they are the only ones who can stop the menace. These teenagers are also paired in groups of two, with the difference being that in Qualidea Code, the couple leads an squad, while in FranXX, the duo pilots mechas.

Well I guess I've only seen 1 ep of Qualidea Code, but so far it has lots of similarities to World Trigger. The main characters of World Trigger are more sympathetic, and there are a lot more characters in general, but otherwise superpowers, alien invaders etc the same.

Nah, you didn't think so? Let me spell out it for you First, I think there is similiar concept in this story, like 'Unknownn'-thing and 'A Big Insect'-thing. Then Kasumi resemble the Protagonist from BB a lot. Asuha-chan and the lolis too! Hime's guardian(?) and the sexy girl too! (I forgot the name. Not gomen//) The world we called post-apocalypse, both series have them right. And... what else? The magic and action thingy maybe? Little romance too hahaha I'm not really remember Black Bullet story, but yeah, thats all I can recommended to you Just watch it yourself, you'll probably feel the same<3

Surprise? Maybe not. Talk about being dark. Yes, Qualidea Code is a ride to the darkness. The setting for Gakkougurashi is similar. What you see might not be what it really is. In both Gakkougurashi and Qualidea Code, the kids are fighting against enemies in a destroyed world.

Both anime has a similar appearance to the unknowns. but in Strike Witches, the unknowns are named as Neuroi. Both anime uses magic to defeat the enemies as well.

Both have the same plot where a group of youngsters were made to believe, that they were the last pocket of humankind and were made to fight an enemy , not knowing that the ones they trust were the enemy.

In Qualidea Code u get unknowns here in Brave Witches u get Neuroi and why this had similar supernatural beings here? and tbh 10 Witches vs 6 teens with thier "world" abilities? and also the MC's in these 2 shows are different either in Qualidea you get a lazy-like male MC while in Brave Witches you get a female MC who places her sister's position as a witch but she weak from the start and she will get stronger someday and here's the diff in Brave Witches the setting is in the alternate earth in WWII while in Qualidea a post-apocalyptic one but another diff  read more

Both anime take place in a world invaded by aliens and characters have superpowers. They're filled with action and as well as tear-jerking moments (Well, I basically cried while watching Nobunagun is only because Ogura Shio was too badass XD)

While watching Qualidea I just got the feeling of Cross Ange. It's not like they have a ton in common, superficially, but they have similar feels to them. There are common aspects in each: A world built on lies, providing some mystery and intrigue One major, edgy character (Ange is better though) Battles that take place over the ocean Rebellion against the status quo Both are original anime with fully concluded endings though Qualidea has other media that go along with it Both are definitely 3-episode rule anime (though Ange had me at episode 2) There are some differences as well, Cross Ange is twice the length follows primarily one character is a bit  read more

+ The plots are the same, with them fighting again unknowns/aliens. + The music are great in both, however I liked macross frontier's more. - The plot in macross frontier is more fleshed out, i feel. - There is no triangle relationship in QC, which is in MF. Less romance orientated in QC. - More actual fighting in QC, rather than singing in MF.

Mahouka is on a different level than Qualidea. That being said, I really liked the colorful art in both as well as the electronic dubby kind of soundtrack to them. The music sort of enhanced the somehow futuristic concept of having powers/magic/whatever you wanna call it that the anime were trying to give off. I like Qualidea more than a lot of other viewers it seems, but if you liked even parts of Qualidea and want an anime with a more complex plot and characters and action etc, then i surely recommend Mahouka Koukou.

There is a recurring theme of teenagers being forced to fight off constant invasions of "alien" forces. Both undergo a change in perspective halfway through the season.
