Feeding them, clothing them, making sure they don’t turn out as jaded or perverted as their parents, it’s work 24/7. And when they hit those rebellious teenage years? I know I was a piece of shit. And in this age of liberal politics, you can’t just slap em’ around, you’ll get jailed! Kowaremono: Risa The Animation leans more to conservatism, featuring a very innovative form of corporal ... punishment: rape!

Of course, I would never condone rape so long as it’s illegal. Forcing your hard cock into an unwilling girl’s sopping folds, is just plain wrong. But when it comes to disciplining your niece when she runs away from home? When she’s not focusing on her schoolwork, getting distracted by some boy? I mean, if she wants dick to distract her…

Kowaremono: Risa The Animation tells the story of Risa, a totally 18-year old teen girl, that’s run away from home to live with her uncle after her parents yelled at her for sucking ass at school. Things go as you'd expect from there.

Rape is a niche fetish that has real life criminal consequences. Rarely you’ll find full-on rape doujins or OVAs, and this settles neatly into the category of “consensual, but just barely because extortion”. She said “Fine, just make it quick”, so it sits nicely in the middle of the road, where you could sit in the witness stand, and swear to speak the truth and nothing but the truth, give and take. She’s not screaming her head off either, nor are there constant tears running down her face. This works well for someone like me, who can appreciate good rape porn, but whose dick has a sense of morality.

Unfortunately, when she ain’t putting up a fight, it devalues the rape experience. The whole point of raping someone is to take away their control, to force them into a situation, in which their sole purpose is to get fucked. When you allow a character to “choose” rape, the entire concept crumbles, it’s rape nullification. Partial consent sucks. The striving entertainment value of the show is in the fact that it contains juicy faptastic rape. This makes the OVA almost vanilla, which makes it just another title. It takes away the taboo vibe.

Besides rape, Kowaremono: Risa The Animation does deal with some mild pain play, a little bit of peeing, and, as always, uncontrollable and unpreventable creampie – “no use in pulling out now”. It’s nice to see some variety, no drugs to induce an aheago face, no blackmail so they’re always crying, just plain ol’ rape. Refreshing, right?

Another fetish featured in this title are condoms. Safe sex is always important, kids, keeps both your DNA out and her STDs in. If a bright pink pixelated penis ain’t making you hard, I don’t know what will. If you’re looking for great cumshots though, you’re going to be disappointed here. Since he wears condoms the entire night, we only see one load blown, wasted to fill her gaping maw. One of my personal favorite fetishes is also featured briefly: sex while on the phone. The girl’s mom calls during sex, and that puts no breaks on the rape train. She stays quiet, like a pro.

The anime’s sound design is good, it meets industry standards though not going above them. Music is standard, though I found the piano at the beginning to be a bit irritating. The girl’s vagina sounds like jello getting violated with a fist, and the moans are well paced. I thought the voice acting and writing was quite on point in Kowaremono: Risa The Animation, not once did she describe in incessant detail what was happening to her. Her sensual moans were realistic, and they certainly weren’t irritating.

Art style has soft lines, pleasent to the eye. Shadows exist, but there aren’t any dark contrasting lines. I specifically like how her eyes were drawn, their shape and animation give the girl a bit more emotion. The animation is also quite fluid, with no skipped frames. There’s only one cumshot scene, and the semen looks real and liquid, not like other OVAs which make it look almost chunky. There are a few loopable gif moments in there as well, but they don’t seem very forced, as if they were trying to take up time by looping a scene.

Kowaremono: Risa The Animation is your standard rape OVA, featuring solid voice acting, good art, it uses your some of your favorite pre-existing rape tropes. It’s got a good length at 17 minutes, it quickly gets into the fucking with no time wasted. If you want some emotionally scarring triggering sex on video, this bitch will do it for you. And if you’re looking for something a bit lighter, this OVA will also do just fine.

While this isn't the best hentai, it's actually somewhat okay. The main thing that was hard about this review is the fact that there's only one episode. And I don't think they'll be adding more.

Now then, for the review.

Story: The story is simple, but it's way too short and simple. And that's what I really don't like about it.

Art: The artwork actually isn't too bad. That's all I can say about it.

Sound: Sound quality was good, Music was nice, and sex sounds were sexy. Not really any bad things to say about the sound.

Character: There isn't really much character development, other than the fact ... that Risa is running away from home and apparently has a boyfriend, and the uncle is a pervert who hasn't had sex with a girl in a LONG time.

Enjoyment: I enjoyed it well enough. Like I said, the main problems were the story and character development.
