Long lingering gazes. Anger. Frustration. Stormy days in the middle of summer. Burning homoerotic tension that really brings out what it means to be in the Spring of one's life; so full of passion and so full of life. The beginning of something very personal and very interesting. Unfortunately neither Nakedyouth nor Taifuu no Noruda managed to capitalise on what they started, but maybe if you liked one you will be able to see the merits of the other...

Rain themes, female lead having supernatural rain powers, good music and animation.

Similar art style. In both anime we see how caring about each other can influence us in a good way. Boy cares for his best friend and makes their friendship stronger, while cat cares for his keeper.

Both animes have the story argument almost the same, take place in the summer and convey similar feelings. The two animes tell the friendship between people from two different worlds.

Both anime are about friendship and that it's important to be honest in order to keep it strong. They touch deeper life subjects that are important in our every day, yet not everyone realizes it. Simple, but with a little meaning and something to think about.

Similarities: - Main character meet someone from outside the area they live (in Kimi no Na Wa from the city or countryside / in Taifuu no Noruda from another planet). - Supernatural elements. - Beautiful artwork. [Spoiler for Kimi no Nawa below] - Both anime involve a natural disaster. - The main characters try to save everyone from the disaster (in their own way). Differences: - Taifuu no Noruda has a shorter duration. - Taifuu no Noruda's story is simple, but still has a meaning. Kimi no Na Wa is more complex which makes it more interesting. - Kimi no Na Wa has romance, while Taifuu no Noruda more into bromance.

Same studio. Detailed, soft and great art style, nice music. Short story. Male protagonists love baseball.

Both anime use a very common premise - a mysterious girl suddenly appears in front of a young boy and shakes up his mundane life. They are not using the romantic slice of life setup to this premise, but rather a dramatic sci-fi setup. Typhoon Noruda is frequently critized for having an overly ambitious script by trying to squeeze a movie length plot into a short story. If you found this to be the case then Patema Inverted will give you better satisfaction.

- Crisp design and art. Great background detail. - Nice OST with lots of classical violin pieces. - Similar storyline: two male friends' attempt to save some female character with an outrageously delicate constitution, cheesy drama ensue. - Strange combination of weird sci-fi and low-key slice of life. - Natural sounding voice acting.

- Thrown right into the middle of the story - Similar art style, understated and with reasonable eye to face ratios - Lively animation, lots of effort put into the background - Teenagers being teenagers - Natural sounding voice acting - Made either independently or by small studios - Simple and clean sounding accompanying music scores

Meeting a strange or mysterious girl who is in trouble is fairly regular event in anime. The male main characters in Typhoon Noruda and Koi☆Sento find themselves in this very situation. Oddly enough, they are both smitten by these girls and decide to rescue them. I wouldn't describe these anime as good, but maybe you're interested in watching the early works of the staff associated in these titles or maybe you're looking for short some anime. Either way, you know what quality to expect.

Same studio. Art style looks really similar, story is a bit different.Taifuu no Noruda - 2 friends Hinata no Aoshigure - boy falling in love with a girl and ending up confessing his feelings. Both animes are short, but heart warming, cute and easy.
