Both have a outstanding animation and go to way of "more action and less plot". Eye candy.

FF7 was said to be similar to Berserk in terms of characters with a story alike. Cloud is basically like Guts whereas Sephiroth is to be like Griffith as for example. It's great to see Berserk because Berserk has the best story out of all of the manga/anime and it too has sword fights as good as FF7. The only difference is that Berserk is pure adult oriented than FF7 because of its contents but its worth a try.

Yugioh 5D's is noted to have traits similar to FF7 due to several reasons: -Steam Punk Setting -Supernatural Powers -Band of Characters -Enemy that will hunt the main character down as foils

Naruto and Final Fantasy both have Fantasy settings both fantasy and steampunk alike with weapons (swords and others) and magic/supernatural powers. The plot is similar as well as character designs only a selective of them.

After watching both Claymore and FF7, I saw similarities in both series as both are set in fantasy setting with hack and slash action (sword fights). Clare and Cloud once experienced a tragic past where they lost their dear mentor (Teresa and Zack) and after that, they decided to take over their mantle on a journey where they hunt down their mortal enemies (Priscilla and Sephiroth). FF7 and Claymore have high quality animation with good sound effects, dialogue, and action and you will be amazed once you check either of them out.

If you like Fate/Zero, you may want to enjoy FF because FF and Fate are alike. Both have real life setting embedded with fantasy elements. Dark atmosphere envelops the series with serious characters. Swordplay is one thing that you can expect the most because people are big into swords than just guns which too are in both of them. You can enjoy the rivalry of Kiritsugu/Kirei as similar to Cloud/Sephiroth plus the way the develop throughout the series are the same despite having different backgrounds and backstories.

Both are based on very popular square enix jrpg franchises and both share lots of high stakes action as well as a high stakes plot.

Both stories are focused on environmentalism as well as alot of action and stylish visuals and animation.

Both have awesome CGI animation , sword fight and aura / ki / chi energy . Iron kid is more orientated toward kids but it's fight scene can thrill even a 25 year old boring man :p .

+ CGI Movie + Based from games + MC must fight to save his/her "world" from destruction

These are both CGI movies expanding on the stories of mainline Final Fantasy games. Kingsglaive serves as a prequel to the more recent XV whereas Advent Children Complete shows some aftermath to the adored classic VII.

Action oriented movies with a lot of sword fights. Both of the main characters from those movies are tortured lone wolf with an obscur past, and they both feel guilty for something that happened in their pasts. Also they love kid and they both have a particular relation with an orphan. And both movies are freakin' stereotypical, boring, substanceless and irritating.

The only reason I say these two are similar is due to the fact of their strikingly similar art/visual style. If you like the look of Final Fantasy, which to me seems like an ingame video, then Appleseed Ex Machina has the same aspects.

Advent Children has a lot of sword fighting in it. If you liked it because of that you should definitely try out Bleach. The Shinigami are sword-wielding spirits, the animation is good and the story is even better.

Same awesome 3D animation and a lot of fighting and action.

In the story of Bleach, you get a character named Ichigo Kurosaki, who is a substitute soul reaper with unbelievable strength... Diamond Dust Rebellion, however, you see a character of the Soul Society named Toshiro Hitsugaya, one of the youngest squad captains on the force, and view his story in a new light of how he got his position. You also get to see that Toshiro has similar qualities to the main character of Advent Children, Cloud Strife--aloof, harboring guilt for past mistakes... Diamond Dust Rebellion has quite a bit of action, similar to Advent Children. And what's good, you don't have to know the  read more

Though they may not share similar stories, both movies showed great animation/cgi. So if you're looking for eye candy or whatnot you may like Captain Harlock.

Both these animations provide added lore to a mainline Final Fantasy game. Advent Children Complete is the definitive way to watch some of the post game events from 7 whereas Brotherhood serves as a prequel to 15 and gives added backstory to the main characters. Fans of the FF franchise are bound to enjoy both.

These are both animated sequels to mainline Final Fantasy games. Advent Children Complete continues the events of the classic game FF VII whereas the Final Fantasy (OVA) continues the events of FF V.

Both beautifully animated and give further story to popular and current Final Fantasy games. Advent Children Complete is the definitive sequel to the fan favourite VII which has its long anticipated remake approaching whereas Episode Ardyn is a prequel to the most recent mainline title XV and gives backstory to that titles most prominent villain.
