Both have a (rock) band that aspires to perform in Budokan. A lot of cute moments and bonding between the characters.

Both Love Live! and Show By Rock!! focus on the development of a girl band/idol group. They both also involve similar stories of bonding between the characters (training camp, practice sessions etc.). Plasmagica and µ's have a very similar style of music.

Both are currently airing anime (in spring 2015 season) with really cute characters designs; the main heroines of both anime are cat-like girls with nekomimi and adorable fangs who try to achieve something: be part of a successful rock-band in "Show by Rock" and join the Chinese zodiac in "Etotama". Both anime contain battles, and in these battles the character designs change into chibi-style, with CG animation.

the only similarity is that the girls sing the opening song. They are part of a band. Show By Rock deals with a new up in coming band +CGI. While Rolling Girls has an adventure like feel.

Cute chicks with guitars but with a scifi story. If you like the pop rock in Bandori, you'll enjoy the same with Show by Rock!

Laala and Cyan are normal girls who want to be idols, but they can't, until one day they are taken to a world where they can become idols -And in these worlds they have legendary abilities -They both make friends there -Both face various challenges -The difference is that in Show By Rock they form a band and have fights and in Pripara they form teams and have no fights

Show By Rock!! is an anime that features musical animations that are more focused on bands rather than idols. They give off the same happy vibe during the performance parts, and the music is great!

Both are about an anime girl who ends up trapped in an alternate universe, and fights evil forces alongside her new friends.

Both are cheerful mahou-shoujo anime with bright visuals and epic battles. Smile Precure is fairytale-themed, while Show by Rock focuses on music. They even have the same soundtrack composer, giving both anime similar feelings.

Both are amazingly designed series about magical girls who fight evil in another world. They’re cute and lighthearted, and have amazing CGI animation that doesn’t hinder the series whatsoever.

Both shows are based on mobile games, both have a cute and colorful cast of kemonomimi characters, both take place in unique and interesting settings, and they both have an overall wholesome vibe. If you liked one, you'd like the other.

Sanrio anime, very colorful and cute with madcap zany comedy, and very nice music

the story is about someone from Real World, being transfered to another world in order to save that world the concept is so much similar I think, even the setting of Digital World and Sound World is so much similar with all those zones and countries Shoutmon, Baristamon, and Dorulumon are designed by the concept of Music, and the voice of Xros Loader is really similar to melody of Guitar the role that Shoutmon and Strawberry Heart take in each show are the same, they want the protagonist (Taiki and Cyan) to save the world and use them as their command Taiki can do Digi Xross, so Shoutmon will  read more

Both are music based anime, really sparkly, have enjoyable characters, funny in my opinion, and their style of music is similar in my opinion. Though in Show by Rock most performers play an instrument and are in a band while Uta Pri performers sing and dance. Show by Rock has no romance whatsoever while Uta pri has a light romantic touch to it but it's sequel focuses more on the music, so Uta Pri it gets better with the sequel.

Both feature a group of girls dressed in cute colourful outfits, fighting off evil creatures and the characters' soul being represented by a crystal thing. Both series get darker as they go on, though it happens to a much lesser extent in Show by Rock!!

Both shows are Sanrio brand series that focus on animals and music. The two shows also have a mixed focus on both comedy and the life around the characters. There is also some metal styles in Show By Rock!! although it is more limited to the side bands rather than more up front and center like with Retsuko. They both can also contain a good amount of cutes, as to be expected from a Sanrio series.

These two anime share similarities in their musical themes and the focus on the journey of aspiring musicians. Both series follow the adventures of young, talented girls pursuing their dreams in the music industry. Carole & Tuesday excels at showcasing a story of two girls from different backgrounds coming together to create soulful music, while Show By Rock features a fantastical world where bands battle through music. There is plenty of emphasis at the way in which the power of music connects people, the challenges faced by budding artists, and the growth of friendships formed through their shared passion for music.

Both these shows have a lot similarities - Its about Music -They all perform in a band -The band are both trying to be great and reach a goal -the main character somehow becomes the main member of the band -there are rival bands - they are other things that cause drama : Show by rock- Dark monsters, Beck- Other music producer -Both main characters play the guitar and sing Only difference -Show by rock' main characters are girl while for Beck its guys

Goofy, colorful, and over-the-top shows centered around people who aspire to be in the music business.

Cute 3D CGI catgirls singing and dancing for your viewing pleasure.

Although Show By Rock is about music and Baka to Test is about school they both involve the characters having transformations into cute animal like creatures to perform their acts (where SBR is them performing music and BTT is them doing things academically). Both are silly and cute shows that are easy to watch also.
