Genshiken season 2 shares the setting of a group of young college student friends and their daily life, romance, and personal growth. Compared to season 1 this similarity is even stronger because episodic "otaku parade" episodes are replaced with the development of interpersonal relations of the group. This season is as close to H&C vibes as it gets, of all anime I watched.

Club members working towards common goals ,while one is set in college other is in school each setting brings unique situations and hilariously solve them.

Adorable friendship between female otaku. Lovable female characters who are not necessarily pretty, and pretty female characters who are real people.

It is also a slice of life taking place in a high school. In Genshiken, it is a club around the culture otaku (anime, manga, video game, cosplay, etc.). In Gamers!, it is a club around video games only.

Both are slice-of-lifes with comedy and romance, both center around clubs and their daily happenings, and both have some of the best character interaction in all the anime I've seen.

As others have said, both look at otaku and neet culture. They are also both comedic, but take a deeper look at the problems these people face. Although they have a very similar feel, welcome to the NHK is far darker.

Both are about the trials and tribulations of making/selling doujinshi.
