Sexy, supernaturally powered women with a group of assistants battling various and sundry ghosts and spirits. sometimes against competition. There is a quantum jump in animation between this and GS Mikami. But PQC has a better musical score than GS Mikami does. Despite the fact they came out around the same time, and having seen Phantom Quest Corp. several years beore, I still like Ghost Sweeper Mikami a little bit more. But, if you happen to like attractive self-confident and powerful women going around 'ghost busting' (cough, cough) you will like both of these shows.

Both shows deal with the exorcising or moving on of spirits. The main character uses spiritual devices that for some reason cost a lot of money. Both main characters desire more money. GS is definitely more cheesy than KnR, but they still have a generally similar undertone of helping ghosts.

Both series have a blend of comedy & dark stories involving ghosts & demons, however Ghost Sweeper Mikami is the more comedic while Nube contains a much darker tone in its series. The casts of both shows are extremely likeable each having their own little quirks & selfish attitudes. Both series are drawn by Toei Animation giving a similar 90's art style. Overall these animes are great excelling with their characters & ongoing creativity.

These anime star powerful and sexy women as a main lead. Their character traits are very different but their anime contain multiple battles with supernatural enemies and offer great entertainment with their episodic story arcs.

Despite their different genres of science fiction and ghost stories, these anime contain women main characters who crave money, danger and excitement while displaying humorous moments in their episodic tales.

Both of these series are supernatural comedies that feature a variety of amusing characters and seiyuu Mariko Kouda is in both anime portraying a ghost girl/sprit, Okinu in Ghost Sweeper Mikami and Hanako in Haunted Junction.

Both have a strong and beautiful female lead and a male assistant. Both have comedy, action, and supernatural themes.

Surprisingly enough both leads Lina Inverse & Mikami Reiko are nearly identical in terms of personality; powerful comedic cheapskate gold diggers. Aside from that, both animes share a blend of comedy & serious moments even though one deals with fantasy while the other deals with paranormal activity. Both series contain great diversity in its characters & several great comedic episodes. The Slayers is slightly centered on action more than Mikami as it contains various villains & story arcs. Ghost Sweeper Mikami offers comedy gold with the occasional dark moments. While these animes do have some dark scenes it will always contain that good sense of  read more
