Recommendations

Wow. I saw a recommendation for these two, so I wanted to see if it really looked alike, but it's almost exactly the same... It totally has the same feeling. It's about a little girl... who suddenly finds herself in a strange world... there are a lot of objects who suddenly are alive and turn into animal kind of things ( well okay stuffed toys and... hm... I have no idea what I should call the other one.) I can't explain it that well, but it is really alike. t has the same kind of music also and it is kind of cute.

Superflat Monogram and Noiseman hide short but cohesive stories behind visuals that seem like the brainchildren of kids on acid; that is, they are both flamboyantly cute yet head-spinningly surreal. The music they employ is chaotic with samplings from nearly every imaginable musical instrument between them, but the masterful way they are integrated with the animation, kicking beats in right when things get exciting, makes these films feel like very polished music videos.

Besides being both directed by Hosoda, the world of OZ resembles the strange world of Superflat Monogram.

In both of these short anime, a girl is taken through a journey inside colourful and abstract fantasy world. They have a similar feel to them, so if you like one, you will most likely enjoy the other as well.

Both have quirky creatures which interact with the female lead. They also share a pretty similar art style.
