Over Drive

Over Drive and Yowamushi Pedal both involve the sport of cycling as a competitive game among its characters. The main male protagonists from both series are involved with club members that also share their passion in cycling. However, they were initially introduced more as outcasts at school. There is plenty of comedy in both series ranging from its dialogues, character interactions, and even the competitions themselves. As for cycling, both series bring out its intensity as the main male protagonists face off against rivals and challenges. 

Yup, Over Drive is also about riding a bicycle and having rivals. Races um well also similar, main characters comes out with potential, cycling clubs in highschool, there is also one main female character in both series (romanceeee yey) . Yep, quite similar except for the art style. (I love the art~) You should try this if you love either one <,< Like meh ;3 

Both are about cycling and the will to win and improve. Yowamushi Pedal has a longer story with more characters and focuses more on teamwork but Over Drive is a little shorter and focuses mostly on one individual with a few supporting characters. 

Both of them are about cycling. But Yowapeda is better than Over Drive in my opinion. And both of them are "must watch" anime for a cycling fan. 

both are cycling anime, though in yowamushi pedal,the main protag already knows how to cycle compared to Over Drive where he doesn't. 

The only difference is the character and attitude of the main female roles and the sport in which they are involved in. The main characters are very similar and have hidden talent as well as a weak exterior. 

Both are about a scrawny little kid who spent most as his life following the biding of bullies as a gopher, until one they he was introduced to a sport that he came to love and practiced that sport until he made his way to the top. 

Both anime are about sport but more importantly they are about this one clumsy kid who is, as it turns out to be, a genius. 

First of all they are both about sport and a weak protagonist without many friends. Just as he starts to do a club activity he finds out about his ability..or rather, others find out about his skills. Secondly, both animes are also about aiming to win a tournament as a team. Anyway both Animes are worth watching! 

Both series have main characters that seem to be complete losers other than the fact that they are good at a sport (baseball in one case, biking in the other) 

both leads are losers with amazing talent. they also both have a numerous episode for one game but they developed it very well. both are amazing sports anime! 

Both series has the sports theme (although involving different sport) as one of the major themes. The main protagonist in both series has a crush on the main heroine and joins a club/team to prove themselves. However as episodes progresses, both the main characters in the series realizes their future with the sport. In both series, the main female protagonist is sort of a tomboy and denies liking the guy. Yet as the episodes progresses, they gradually warm themselves up to the protagonist. There is comedy, drama, and romance present in both series. Both series also contain other characters/competitors in the sports as the story moves along.  read more 

The main cast is very simillar, and they both shows are inspirational stories. I personally had no interest in road racing or ballroom dancing before watching these shows, but even then thehy were very enjoyable and both shows does a great job with presenting their respective sports in a fun and exciting way. If you liked one of them, I'm sure you will like the other 

This might seem like a strange recommendation, but let me explain. -) Hajime no ippo is about a boy who wants to get stronger by particulation in boxing, he starts as a ''weak'' boy and fight/ trains his way up to the strongest. -) Over drive is about a boy who got a offer to enter the bicycling club on school, there he started to love cycling. To enter in a tournement he has to train hard and often, on his way getting rivals and friends. het also started as a weakling (he couldn't even ride the bicycle) and ended as a very strong rider. The sports are totaly differend, but if you dont mind watching a sport serie. Then i strongly recommend you these 2. (a series about cycling sounds boring, but it isn't (believe me)) read more 

The plots are totally different but they are both quite realistic stories of teams joining together and fighting to be their best. If you like the realistic style you'll enjoy watching both of these. And even learn a bit of stuff about music and bike riding that you didn't know before. 

Both about challenge and pushing yourself to the limit. Same sport. Over Drive is a TV series. Nasu - The Summer of Andalusia - a movie, which has a continuation as OVA: Nasu: A Migratory Bird with Suitcase. If you enjoy riding your bike and also love challenges - these animes are for you.
