Both main characters uses scissors and both anime are of the comedy genre.

pretty self explanatory

The garrulous male leads have it tough because it is almost impossible to get the best of these two female leads in a conversation. If anything is sharper than their scissors, then it might be their tongues.

Both include characters who wield scissors as their weapon of choice and both have a seemingly unconventional relationship with their partners. Somewhat violent but either show has its own quirks and comedic moments.

The playful persiflage between the male lead and the female lead is fun to watch.

A comedy that is just as good as Inu to Hasami. Get ready for a world of laughs!

Both series involves talking dog. The same exact dog!!!! Mixed with comedy and romance.

Both include femdom.

The absurd, ridiculous comedy follows a male main character who were caught up by a main female character for a weird reason. The female characters have silly weapons that usually like to play around with it, or just hitting it on the male character. There are some scenes that are funny, but most of them are flat and dry, but if you are looking for a weird absurd show, these two will be your time. Dogs and Scissors focus a male character who suddenly turn into a dog and adopted by a beautiful, yet sadistic girl who uses scissors. Dokuro-chan follows a boy who is under  read more

It's a bit more ridiculous. However what can be found is similar types of characters, along with a few strange storylines that Holic is accustomed to. Inu To Hasami probably was inspired by Holic if anything.

Both are pretty funny rave comedies, both are really low-rated because of extreme degree of things that make no sence.

Both anime include main characters who are reincarnated as dogs, both also share the comedy genre.

I know it's not what you would expect but I find that everyone that like Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou also enjoyed the fun romcom that is Horimiya. I hope you enjoy my recommendation

They are both about authors that have... interesting personality (kinda pervy) but it follows their life and it's very episodic

A person who is obsessed with books is reincarnated into a position in which getting access to books is nearly impossible. That problem is quickly resolved in Inu to Hasami, but keeps being the main goal for the series in Honzuki no Gekokujou.

-Both have ridiculous intense characters. -Both have ridiculous action scenes. -Both have a fairly sane tsukkomi MC. -Both are comedies with small bits of romance.

The setting of the story are very different, but offers similar sense of humour. Both anime have their characters to use ridiculous techniques to achieve comedic purpose. Both anime don't make sense, and that's the charm. It's like Manzai comedy between the author and viewers.

I found the humor in both anime a bit similar, and yet different. But both seem to remind me of each other, so i can't stop thinking there must be something between these two anime.

Kirihime and Kanade share many interesting qualities such as their wealth, their clever comebacks, their level-headness, and even their penchant for sadistic, although not really mean-spirited, encounters. If you think someone like Kanade from Mayo Chiki would make an interesting female lead, then check out Inuhasa. Likewise, if you can't get enough of Kirihime, then you should give Mayo Chiki a try.

Similar character personalities. Yoroza from Sukunai has the same personality as Kirihime. While Shining is the same as Sena. Both clash at each other from time to time. Shining aka Sena is given a nickname that only Yoroza/Kirihime refrers to her. Kodaka and Kazuto both revolve around these two.

-Both main women characters are famous & talented at something. Kaleidoscope - Skating, Inu - writing -Both main male character both dies and gives a second chance in life -Both force to live with the main character due to circumstances -Both main female character are tsunderes and are mean to the main guy character -Both really funny and good and develops romance in the anime

Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou had me thinking of Girl Meets Girl where a guy's life is changed by accident. That is the only thing that is similar.

Both have novelists and people obsessed with books. Characters with ridiculous weapon. Like BIG kitchen knife or PAPER. Fights give similar feeling.

In both series the main characters help each other out. In Sankarea: the main female is in a dire situation which involves the main guy. Similarly in Dog and Scissor but the opposite.

The main female has similar design. Scarlet red eyes which adds to her mysterious personality. Both anime deals with supernatural things too.

In OniAi the male lead is a popular author who uses a pen name and the female lead is a big fan of his writing. The concept is switched around in Inu to Hasami, where the female lead is the author and the male lead is the reader.

An anime dealing with a sadist and masochist relationship. The role of the dog is reversed. Sakurai does the voice of the male lead. He is no longer the dog but the sadist. Both anime are romcom but Ookami Shoujo has more romance than Inu.

Sakurai Takehiro is the voice of this cute adorable dog : ) He also voices a talking tanuki in Uchouten Kazoku. One series deals with comedy and the supernatural happenings between a writer and a talking dog. He used to be human but now in a body of a dog. Uchouten Kazoku also deals with supernatural things. Add mystery to that category too. The Shimongamo family has to deal with their rival family who wants to get rid of them for good.

The male lead has the same voice actor in both series. In Sukitte Li na yo, Sakurai does the voice for Mei's cat during the ending preview. While in Dog and Scissor, he is the voice of a cute dog.

Both have unrealistic fighting scenes and comedy.
