Inferno Cop

Jack Knife Edge Town is as edgy as it sounds, and it's up to Inferno Cop to stop that edge from tearing his city apart. He's both law and outlaw, dispensing ungodly justice to evildoers like a candy machine. Lowlifes, gangsters, and even hellspawn all infest Inferno Cop's hunting ground, but that's the good news. The bad news? Prior to the story, his family was brutally murdered by Southern Cross, a shady organization that made the worst mistake imaginable by doing so. Now, Inferno Cop's limiters have been removed and his mercy rung more dry than the entrails of his victims.

Something is welling up in Inferno Cop's city, however, and soon he'll face the most daunting gauntlet of his life involving him literally falling into and escaping from Hell. A flaming head won't be enough to ward off the true evil that's rapidly approaching—Inferno Cop must call upon all his allies and his own wacky antics to conquer the trials that await him.

"INFERNO COP!" This hilarious short series was the first ever TRIGGER series and what a grand opening to this studio it is. With the most absurdism of humor mixed with a very parody feel of masculinity and drama, Inferno Cop feels more like a fever dream and an experience than a real show. Despite this, there is an ongoing "story" that plays out throughout the series, nothing here is filler. Easily recommendable to anyone who wants a quick laugh and an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately there were plans to make a second season but it's completely up in the air now that Inferno Cop's VA, Junichi ... Gotou, tragically passed away in a motorbike accident. While this series presents itself as extremely goofy and a parody, it still feels like it tries to take itself 100% serious which (quite obviously) will always elevate a comedy. Recommended to watch with others.

Mixed Feelings

I absolutely hated every second of this... But don't stop reading there, the idiot within me absolutely loved it! The animation was so bad it was funny, and listening to the same voice actor doing all the voices was also pretty great. But of course even though I may have kinda sorta liked it, I don't think I can recommend it to anyone.
I won't write about the story here because, for one, there isn't really any at all, and for two, that was all you need to know. If you like that sort of thing go watch it!
... Why did I even watch it at all...

as the first work of studio Trigger this a bad anime but some interesting ideas about this that doesn't make it a worthless crap.

Story : story is a simple one in here I was interested in the story until episode 3 and it got pretty boring after a while the jokes were not funny anymore and if the anime was 20 minutes per episode i would drop this.

Sound : the ending song was so catchy and was good the sound effects were probably being downloaded in a free website and the VA did a good job voicing every character in the show it reminded me ... of South Park in this matter.

Animation : nothing to say actually we know that TRIGGER becomes one of the greatest anime studios in the future. this anime was a test project.
any way you can watch it if you want but this is not the masterpiece you are looking for but you can watch it to see what started studio Trigger.
