I believe that anime, like any other form of art, is fundamentally subjective, and trying to evaluate it through rigidly structured systems is a mistake. While technical aspects such as animation quality or writing can influence my opinion, what truly matters to me is the personal experience a series leaves behind.
In the techincal aspects, there may be objectively bad elements, such as narrative inconsistencies in stories that take themselves seriously, but that doesn't encompass the entirety of a work's interpretation. Personal factors, like the 'cringe' something might provoke in me or the unique emotional connections I form with certain stories, also play a key role. For this reason, even though I consider technical aspects, my ratings don't follow a rigid or structured system. And this is mostly also because I am not a pro in any of techincal aspects of anime or any artistic medium.
Some series I take more "seriously", while in others (such as shonen, for example) I tend to be more "relaxed". My average rating is around 7 because there are works where I value style over substance, and others where it's the opposite. In the end, my approach to anime is simple: to enjoy it. My ratings reflect how much I enjoy a series, appreciating that enjoyment from different perspectives depending on the work. But obviously sometimes I simply can't.
note about my reviews: And that's why I kinda hate my old reviews and I feel I mostly did them to be part of MAL community kinda, some of them I have rewritten them but honestly the only one I enjoy is my latest The Climber one, cause of this subjective parts I feel doesn't really help a review, if I want to write a review is mostly about the facts about the series like in The Climber but my review of NHK is the peak of what I don't want to do, just pure emotion, at that time to have praise and it clearly did but honestly if I am gonna do my review public is gonna be about some facts about the series and not my subjetive feelings towards a series. They obviously will be influenced by my emotion but the emotion is mine I don't think it's gonna help anyone saying what I feel about the series, if I write a review is mostly to talk about something that they can understand about it.
idk if this portrays me as a serious guy, i ordered all and seems organized but in reality i am pretty dumb.

anime and music are my form of time killing mostly enjoy all but I guess I watch too much shit because I want to complete it.
currently favorites:
movie: ikiru (i like a lot akira kurosawa)

manga: berserk has to be
music (band/artist idk): Nujabes, idk i just cant stop listening him. (thanks to him i watched Samurai Champloo).
watching, ptw, dropped info:
Watching: For shows I’m actively watching now.. or want to watch right now, i often cant complete it and thats why they are a lot.
Plan to Watch (PTW): For shows I might watch later, but not urgently.
Dropped: Only for shows I clearly disliked or skipped a lot but still remember well. Minor drops (like one-episode attempts) idc for them so i just delete them. (Also to keep in mind if i want to give it another chance).
On Hold: Less than 10 minutes shorts that i watched. (i feel they are bad for people browsing my list)
About manga, i don't read a lot, i like to read seinen or stuff that can't be animated, cause i prefer anime over manga, mostly finished manga.
ranking system:
I try to respect mal words, i feel it works, but really try to respect them if its average i would give it a 5, not a 7 cause it was good at moments, or a 6. But yeah obviously this varies from how i feel for it, if i feel its very good, its VERY GOOD for me, it means i enjoyed it a lot. This could be for the animation, direction, story. But yeah its just the way i feel i guess.
panels i like:
btw read berserk pls
i like a lot the trope of fighting, for something you want, idk but not only like that its also idk like in ashita no joe movie opening.

Hello. I don't recall why I didn't in this case, but I remember I discussed it outside of MAL instead. I find it significantly weaker than his shonen, like Fire Punch or CSM. The basic setup with the artists and the way their styles and personalities clash was okay, but the ridiculous twist in the second half renders everything pointless to me, though I'm rather indifferent toward it, hence the 5/10. Just felt like the author thought his work was too boring and had to spice it up unnecessarily. It reminds me of the ending of a romance anime that's somewhat popular, but I won't mention it since it's a pretty big spoiler, I guess. I was planning to give the film adaptation a shot and see if the execution is better there or if it "clicks" this time, but I kind of doubt it will. I'll write something when I do.
Surprised someone has read it already, I only posted it 5 minutes ago haha. Glad you liked it. I thought the film itself was good, but just had to share the one or two things that bugged me a bit about it.
Hey man! Thank you for the kind opinion. Yeah i'm already a huge Dandadan fan! I've seen the leaks and listened to the opening, watched the whole first episode but i decided to wait until the high quality release, it's Science Saru animation is something worth waiting for and Dandadan has a lot of memorable and wholesome moments.
Maybe if Shinichi Sakamoto teamed up with someone like Tatsu, he would make a really fun manga, haha!
Thanks! Not sure what genres you're interested in but from a quick glance at your list I'll recommend Space Dandy since it's by the same director as Bebop and Champloo which you rated pretty highly.
