Same creator, yet slightly different. I personally preferred Negima, because it had a bit more depth in it. Not as romance-based, I guess... But magic and spell-casting is always a plus.

it has a similar concept of a child becoming a teacher

Another of Ken Akamatsu's harem animes. While there are many more girls than normal for a harem anime, this fits right along with the theme for Ai Yori Aoshi.

Both are comedies about people who can use magic and also have partners.

Magic circles, latin verses, pretty flashy battle too!

Negima and Rosario Vampire are very similiar in genre. Each anime has a male character surrounded by girls. The only difference is that in Negima, the boy has the magical powers and in Rosario Vampire the girls have magical powers. I still suggest these if you're into harem anime. =D

They are both romance stories in school, and both have some sort of a "magic" related theme to it. Plus the boy is much smaller than the girl.

Harems where the teacher is the guy and all or the majority of the class is girls.

Very similar humor, both focused around a school full of people with special/magical abilities. Both focus on the harem genre.

Both involve kissing which forms a contract where the girl becomes extremely powerful

Negima is an anime based on magic but there is a little part that has to do with technology. It has a harem as well although its a little extreme with 30+ girls. Its an awesome anime but I believe the manga is way better.

The two are similar because both anime's include a girl, who has been somehow dragged into the world of wizardry and magic. Both also have a boy/two boys who need to pass a Magic Exam!

Has a male protagonist surrounded by a harem of lovely ladies. The boy is on a journey and is training to become stronger.

lots of similarities, starting with the main characters looking similar. both have that good verses evil thing and both prodginist's have heir own band of ''mosters'', negi's being his students with special abilities and nura with his monsters. also both main characters have some form of special ability which makes them stronger than almost everyone else i,e, negi being a mage and nura transforming into an ultimately powerful ninja/mage both have their cutesy and serious moments and both have their romancy love triangles.

They both involve a preteen boy and girls trying to get with him. They have a similar setting in school. Even the supporting character resemble eachother. The twins, the nerd, the peace keeper and the wacky comedical friend of the main character.

Sekirei has plenty of similarities, from what I see, like Rozen Maiden (Alice game and Sekirei Plan) and Claymore ("numbered girls", with higher numbers bring of higher strength), but none moreso than Negima. One main character, a harem of beautiful girls, with plenty of ecchi-ness, contracts with the main via kisses. Its a matter of taste which one a person prefers. Negima is has more lolis, and Sekirei has more boobs.

Both of these animes are similar involving a school with students possessing supernatural power or magical abilities.

There may not seem to similar but they are. Both deal with magic and people slowly falling in love. Not only that but in the shows they both have a lot of girls that are always surrounding one boy. I think if you've ever seen Tenshi no Shippo you'll like Mahou Sensei Negima!

Both series involve characters that use magic in a school setting(one has a magic school, one's similar to Harry Potter in how magic use around non-magic users is prohibited), and both are comedy titles. Both also have a bit of romance, although it's a lot more prominent in Maburaho than Negima. However, fans of the anime adaption of Negima, be warned- Maburaho has a little more fanservice than Negima, and the rating's a bit higher. Other than that, fans of either series should like the other one. :)

Made by the same Studios, this is almost the same tipe of story, very funny, but just diferencing the magic environment on Negima!

Beside Soul Eater being Dark & Negima being happy both deal with the idea of having main fighter & support fighter in a quest of greater power or abilities both are different(mostly main characters) but have the similarity of combat style of the mage/technician & weapon/partner humor is little similar but main similarity is both Technician/mage is looking to surpass there father in power.

Well magic is part of the plot in both series, but they way I see it is there's one guy surrounded by girls that love him in one way or another. Both of them have their "moments" and even though it's a bit awkward, it's funny.
