Playing the role of a parent and raising a child can be challenging yet touching and heartwarming. Aka-chan to Boku has a tip of comedy while Usagi drop is more realistic and serious.

both anime talks about a young people who take care for a little sister in Mama wa , and a little brother in AKA Chan to boku. both have a very similar kind of drama and comedy . and the main characters respect and learn a lot about the family values. and they dealing with daily life problems to make the two children happy.

both about a typical family going through hardships, satsuki and mei are very similar to takuya and minoru ,the older brother/sister had to take care of his/her younger sibling during the absence of their mother ,the difference is totoro has fantasy adventure element that akachan to boku lack.

It drives the same conflicts of one to no parents in the household, but for akachan to boku has a lot of deeper episodes and at some point will make you cry.

They both focus on a male single parent and his struggle to balance work with home life. They also have a focus on comedy, and are really wholesome too.

Both anime gives a heartwarming feeling. Besides, in both anime, a child is involved. Though, Akachan to Boku shows us how an older brother takes care of his little brother after their mother's death, Barakamon shows us that it's okay to take a break in life and enjoy the little things. What's similar in both animes is that, after watching the animes, you will feel the warmth of love & care. So, if you are in need of a heartwarming anime, you can obviously watch this two.

Both are family related drama. These two are recommended for heavy drama fans with some cuteness as well.

Both shows are about the life of a family that just lost the mother figure, while Akachan revolves about the eldest son taking care of his baby brother, and Amaama is about a teacher who learns to cook for his pre-school daughter.

These anime almost have the same "chibi" atmosphere that makes you go "CUTE!" except Aka-chan to Boku talks about the home and family, and Hanamaru is about a kindergarten.

Both are about growing up and dealing with the change.

They aren't similar because of the story, but they are for the background music: Kenji Kawai is the same composer and the splendid music we can listen in "Hime-chan no Ribon" is like that of "Aka-chan to boku".

They are the same because both of the main character lost their parents, and forced to take care of a baby. Because of the baby, they would be having to sacrifice playtime and childhood life.

They both have the same relationship of two brothers/ sister. to have to take care of your cute little brother has always a price since you are older and he is younger.
