When you watch this you will instantly make the connections to Elfen Lied and also the differences as it moves along in the story and shows its own path on a somewhat similar idea.

I started watching Sora no Otoshimono the other day and couldn't understand why I felt like I had already seen it until realizing that it had almost the exact same premise as This Ugly Yet Beautiful World. Girl with big boobs/naked and/or super powers falls from the sky and is under the guidance of a guy. The difference is that This Ugly Yet Beautiful World is more serious and shows naked normal sized breasts, while Sora no Otoshimono is an ecchi comedy with clothed huge breasts. In This Ugly Yet Beautiful World more people have super powers; in Sora no Otoshimono "pantsu" is said at  read more

This Ugly Yet Beautiful World is a good transition from Gainax's Eva days to their FLCL/Gurren Lagann days. It's sort of an intermediary between the eras, in terms of the general feel of Gainax productions, I think.

The basic premise of these anime are the same, a reluctant fellow comes across a strange girl(not of this world) that doesnt really have a place in our world. Major difference if I had to say thought would be that TUYBW has a bit more psychological faceted story, but the romantic and comedy elements are the same.

the maincharacters are almost the same, but mahoromatic has a bit more of story...

Lead Character reminds me of maromaro ;), and falls in love with a guy. There is always another girl who likes him and is jealous and of course wishes that the main character would leave. They both fall in love but with a sad ending. Almost like Tayutama.

They both star a slacker guy who finds a extraordinary girl who doesn't no anything about the world and learns day to day stuff threw the guy and her friends.

This was a predecessor I'd not heard of before. I think one is a bit similar to the other, see what you think...

Both anime have the end of the world as the main theme, featuring morale choices for the main character. Also, there is a close bond between the main characters (the good and the bad ones). I think their endings are pretty much similar...no spoilers :D

Although the two series doesn't seem similar at first, it does involve a mysterious girl coming into the life of the protagonist. Mysteries and romance are imminent in both series. Plenty of comedy and drama is also ensured.

The anime both dealt with supernatural occurrences and the question of humanity in this world. With an atmosphere of sadness, sorrow, and happiness. Containing both drama, romance, and a bit of comedy to enrich the quality of both anime. This Ugly Yet Beautiful World and The Third is definitely two anime to watch if you like one of them.

The main characters are both loser guys who love bikes who meet beautiful, naive girls who are not from earth. The art style, the kinds of jokes used, and many of the characters are similar. Both main characters also seem to have the same problem with being able to confess their feelings and progress their relationships even though half of the female cast is in love with him.

Both animes involve a seemingly-average Japanese high school boy who stumbles upon at least one or more beautiful girls from outer space. Through this encounter the hero unlocks his own supernatural powers in order to protect his ever-growing household of family, friends, and prospective girlfriends (human and alien alike). Teen romance (and all its awkward funniness), love triangles, hotsprings, and sci-fi action for a good measure.

In both series, the main male protagonist meets a strange girl who seems to not be from Earth. From there on, they have a strange relationship that turns from friends to romance. Both series has science fiction themes although Narue no Sekai has a more lighthearted mood. They both also take place in a school life setting filled with comedy and drama. Both series' main male protagonist also has similar personalities.

Both are similar in respect to each other regarding the future of the world that they are in. These animes are both about the recreation of the existing world, and also the struggles that the main characters have to go through to decide the fate of the world. However "This Ugly Yet Beautiful World" has a more serious tone to the story, while "Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo" is a more light-hearted story. You might like one if you like the other.

This Anime Is Also the same as Rosario Vampire. Because Well In The Anime "This Ugly Yet Beautiful World" The Main Character Hikari,She has a good side and a evil side. And In "Rosario+Vampire" The Main Character Moka She Has A Good side and Evil Side also, Because Moka turns into a Vampire And Hikari Turns to a evil girl that can handle dangerous things to her self.

They both have a similar story, where the leading girl is sweet, but very powerful, and also from outer space. Also, they both are by Studio Gainax, and have the same character designers.

both same in the sense of random girl from space appearing and then becoming attracted to the main char :D

Both anime are produced by Gainax and have a psychological story mixed with a bit of love. ...a little bit at least!

The two are quite different, plot-wise, but if you're looking for nature symbolism and various attitudes about how humans interact with the environment (and vice-versa), the two productions are similar in that regard.

These are about the nature of life, death and how the universe takes part in this process here on earth. I found these both to have a sort of spiritual feel to them. If you've seen one or the other, you'll understand what I mean. Both are also moderate romances. Hikari/akari = Sara Ninomiya/Takeru = Shin I highly recommend both of these series.

Both shows have a guy meeting a cute girl and then some transformation / action occurs. When I watched the newer title (Sacred Seven) I just thought... "again?". But if you liked one you'll probably like the other. They have a different plot but follow the same pattern I guess you could say.

Post-apocalyptic anime with the main character in the role of "savior of the world".

The main characters are kind of similar with the power they get especially towards the end of busou renkin. the female characters are different but I still think that if you watch either one all the way through you understand why I made the recommendation. Try Busou Renkin
