Ha! I was feeling nostalgic so I searched "Toradora" into all of the search bars. I saw your comment on the "Anti-Toradora" club xD. Thanks, you deserve a medal for doing what everyone who enjoys quality romance anime would have done.
I know what you mean. When I was in Tokyo it almost felt as if I never left. Time went so quick at yet I remembered everything about Japan so vividly!
Wish I had got this when I was there and could have checked some of that stuff out! I spent a bit more time in Akiba this time around but was still to brief to really even scratch the surface and when it holds!!
I can't believe you started a publishing company!!!! That is so incredible! Congrats!! XD Let me know when things are up and running. I would love to check it out!
I recently deferred my post grad studies and am now working as a Research Assistant at my Uni. I am really loving it but it's only till the end of the year so who know what I'll do after that!
There are thoughts about the States but I really have nothing even close to planned~
I'm so excited to hear more about your company! What is it called?
Good luck with it!!!! (^__^)
Long time no talk~ Here we all are, still plugging away at our lists. Nice to know that although I am sure much has changed in the past two years some things are still the same ;)
I was thinking of the two of you today because tomorrow I am off to Japan again! Unfortunately it's just another short trip but I alas that is all my work will allow. By the strange circumstances of my last trip to Japan I met you guys, and I am so glad that I did. You really stirred up the anime love inside me and I have to say that MAL is pretty amazing. I do love making lists~ (^.^)
Well, I hope you are both well and that maybe we will cross paths again in the future. Let me know if you have any MUST SEE's for me cause I am feeling like I need a kick in the right direction.
Stay classy~ (^__^)
Hey!! Yeah, it sure has! What's new? How is uni going? (did I get that right?) Everything is good down here. I just graduated and am deciding where to move for this year. I just watched the first episode of Mushishi and it wad nothing like I expected. I am really intrigued to see more. I have been using this holiday to watch as much anime as I can fit in. lol
I am currently watching Darker than Black season 2 and am going to start Samurai 7 next :) There is just so much to watch it's ridiculous!!
What's new in your hemisphere? xo
I was driving and forgot to text you back, my bad. Tokyo Magnitude was pretty good and I can't believe how hard I cried watching the last two episodes last night.I thought it was kinda boring for two or three episodes in the middle but once I realized what was happening with Yuuki I was right back into it. Sometimes a show makes me shed a couple tears but I was literally crying like a baby.
Hey man. Glad you finally made it back to Florida. Everything's ok here. I'm just looking for work right now which is frustrating. I ended up losing about 4.5 lbs and half an inch off my arms. So far I've gained 3 lbs and it's been a real biatch getting back. So how was the rest of your stay in Kyoto? Did you become a regular at Big Boy's? Lol. Anything crazy happen? Did you finally learn your way around the subway there?
Oi! Just because I read yaoi doesn't make my taste girly!! (>.<) I don't read any shoujo at all!! I actually like action best and don't like reading anything below the OT rating (well... that goes for yaoi too.... jk!!) lol
Obviously I am a huge Minekura Kazuya fan so I would have to recommend something by her. Chris just asked me which of her works he should read and I would say the same to you..... Saiyuki is the BEST!! But I would actually recommend reading Wild Adapter first..... not entirely sure why I guess maybe just because you should "leave the best for last"?? I don't know, but even though I like Saiyuki better I wouldn't actually say it IS a better series. They are both so incredible and different.
I must warn you though..... none of her series are complete and WA is on a bit of hiatus mode atm with only seven volumes out.... I think.....(o.O)
Saiyuki is still being published and is at it's 24th volume if you put all the sequels/prequels together (Reload, Gaiden and Reload Blast).
Anyway..... sorry for ranting! lol Tell me if you end up reading it^^
Also....I haven't read any good manga in a while so if you come across anything great let me know (20th century boys??) XD
I know how you feel. Whenever people ask me "How was Japan?" I don't even know what to say!! They haven't invented a word to describe such amazingness yet!! lol
Wow... six years! Thats crazy. I totally understand how you might have forgotten it! lol And there is definitely too much anime to watch and not enough time in life to watch it all! *sigh*
YES!!! Durarara is so freakin good! The only reason I haven't already watched it all already is because I got a friend into it also and we watch it together every Thursday so I have to pace myself XD I am so glad you recommended it to me cause that bumped it to the top of my "to watch" list^^
How awesome is Shizuo?! XD He is just way too cool!!!
I can't wait to see how it all unfolds and knowing there is to be a season 2 makes me so happy!!! YAY!!!
Good luck catching up with all your anime~ I bet you will enjoy it!
Hey Andrew~
I hear you are back in Miami^^ How did you enjoy the rest of your time in Japan? XD
I had a query for you.... I remember you telling me that Wolf's Rain ended really badly, but I was wondering whether you watched 26eps or 30eps..... the last four are actually OVAs but they follow on exactly from the series.
I just finished watching episode 29...... I have never cried so much in an anime EVER!!! (TT__TT)
I can see how the series ends really shit but the OVAs are good^^
Anyway.... hope you are enjoying being home~ (^.^)
Hahaha... yep, it's me^^ Yeah I'm back in Aus and back at uni *cry* but it's okay cause I've been watching anime to help with the transition.
I plan to start Durarara today hopefully seeing as everyone keeps talking about its awesomeness XD
How is Kyoto going? From your photos I can see you guys are tearing it up! (^.^)
Excuse me,but i saw on your review for The Heroic Legend of Arslan that you own it on DVD so you can tell me for sure...
Episodes 1 and 2 are about 50 minutes long each and episodes 3,4,5 and 6 are about 30 minutes each? That's how they were on the releases i found. Is that so on the DVD as well or the release i watched was incomplete cause although the story was great,it stops in the middle of nowhere :(
Nah, Angel Beats is alright but nothing amazing. The animation is great but the rest is average. My cousin and I are watching Kekkaishi together which is pretty cool. BTW I swear I'll call you today so we can figure out this ticket situation.
