Lolis flying in the air fighting aliens with tons of fanservice; seems about right.

Both shows have a joke-level "sci-fi" setting, which looks more like military mahou-shoujo. Both shows are focused on girl's friendship, befriending enemies and some shitty drama. The funny thing is that if Symphogear feels like a third-rate clone of Nanoha, than Vividred Operation feels like a second-rate clone of Symphogear. A profanation of the genre.

Both anime have five magical girls and a main character with ponytails that is really interested in a dark-haired mystery girl. They are also both are somewhat dark series.

Girls operating robots to save the world from space invaders. Both have a bright feel to them with lead characters who are very eager to help people without care for their own safety.

A lot of elements in this show seem to be heavily borrowed from the Nanoha universe: - Magical girl/mecha crossover, complete with (fanservice-heavy) transformation scenes; - Main character who wants to be friends with everyone and doesn't take no for an answer; - Antagonist with a cold and distant outer appearance, who seems to be manipulated into doing 'bad' deeds and may not be all that bad; - Main character's sidekick/animal mascot is a ferret.

Girls using technology to fly and fight off a invasion. The girls are also very close to each other or become close over the course of the series. And in both the main character needs to transfer because of the airforce.

It's practically the same anime, Mao-chan is just less serious and more focused on overall cuteness. In story: Both are about a group of little girls who transform into marching band style uniforms to fighting off aliens in a city by the ocean with the support of the military. In characters: Mao is similar to Akane, they're both the main characters and they both receive their powers from their grandfather. Aoi and Misora are almost the exact same character, they both already have established friendships with the main characters and are the second to receive their powers. Kagome Mishima and Mizuha Amagi are both women in the military who get assigned  read more

A strong female-lead who have mission to protect humanity from dangerous enemies using a unique power suit. This power suit become their main weapon with different ability and function.

Symphogear g is definitely similar to Vivired opeation. Both series: -use techology based /mecha- abilities in order to fight evil. -the power of friendship goes without saying as well as the transformation sequences. All these result into epic fighting sequences. Make sure to give it try.

Each are a battle between mankind an unknown entity who wishes to destroy mankind. To battle these invaders they equip teenagers with the best technology and weapons possible.

Both have their share of yuri action to mix in the mecha, also don't forget lots of skin showing on those scantily-clad uniforms! Only difference is whether you'd want to venture in darker territory in Ange vs "mahou shoujo" world of Vividred.

These two magical girl shows follow similar tropes in execution, with monsters from an unknown place attacking and a group of roughly five girls are in the center of the action. The characters both have similar color palettes and they follow a general characterization based on the color they are representing. Honestly, I liked Yuuki Yuna a lot more than Vividred, but both are enjoyable if you like magical girl anime.

In both shows, creatures from another place invade Earth and it takes a team to defeat them. However, Nobunagun has the characters be reincarnations of historical figures, where Vividred Operation has the girls adopt a magical girl like persona to defeat them.

Both are cute series that balance moe comedy with action and some light ecchi. Simple, cheesy little stories with very little depth, but enjoyable enough if you want something that's not too challenging. Friendship appears to be a shared theme.

OK, so it's a little embarrassing that I watch these, but these are good time fillers. Both have a small group of young girls that kick a little butt. Both are filled with fan service up the wazoo. Both have fun characters. Vividred is actually not bad until the "dock" where it gets overly cheesy Senran Kagura isn't quite as cheesy but it has similar cheesy moment. Senran Kagura is ninjas Vividred is ... well girls that apparently kick butt with a little help from magical/scientific-esque keys. If you like one then you are bound to like the other.

Both shows feature girls in specialized battle suits warding off alien invaders. Vividred is more serious, while Twintails is more comedic. Fanservice also seems to be a (significant) part of either show.

Youngster receives an amazing power from their mad scientist grandpa so they can fight villains with it.

I felt that the technology used in both anime's were very similar and they both had the same feeling. Anyway while I was watching the first episode of Vividred Operation I had a strong recollection of Eureka Seven.

A group of children use mechas or mecha-based abilities to protect the world from mysterious invading entities that have more to them than initially suspected. There are also some other similarities between these two series that you will notice once you get far enough into the storyline. I'll leave that as a surprise.

Both anime feature girls equipped with advanced technology and weapons who fight apocalyptic robots.

- Sci-fi universe with powers unlocked through intense emotion - Huge monsters - Blatant fanservice - Technobabble that was made up while drunk - Does not take itself seriously AT ALL
