Similar in making the 3 seperate cyber police stories like it had in some '80s '90s OVAs. Shocking cyberplots, sick villians and lots of dark traits and betrayal wich the future police has is hands full on. Recommended for sci-fi fans.

Both share the cyberpunk atmosphere, dystopian surroundings and humanoid robots.

Anime of a begone era, the style still ends up resonating despite the amount of time having passed. Dystopian is dystopian, with no punches held back regarding what one is willing to do to the characters, yet also shredding everyone psychologically to pieces, rendering everyone including the viewer raw. Neither series is for the faint of heart.

Similar in atmosphere and style, another dystopian anime.

Both shows have similar themes involving androids becoming sentient, a similar art style, and even the action feels similar. Ghost in the Shell's setting feels a bit more futuristic, while Parasite Doll's setting feels more near-future... however, they're both very clearly cyberpunk influenced.

These two anime focus on characters are machines and have a similar dark feeling to their stories.Though the plots are completely different, both deal with machines living in their respective societies. They both focus different point of views on humanity and compare their positions from a opposite side. These two anime are very violent and can be disturbing at times.

Both shows have similar themes involving androids becoming sentient. However, the art styles, the characters, and the overall tone of the shows differ from each other.

Mecha, police, intrigues and strange life forms included. In overall all series taking place in Bublegum Crisis universe, original and spin-offs more or less correspond with Patlabor universe to some extent/
