Both share the cyberpunk atmosphere, dystopian surroundings and humanoid robots.
The second Ghost in the Shell movie explores what it means to be a human, a traditional theme for cyberpunk. It does so by juxtaposing humans and robots, also bringing in things in between the two. Parasite Dolls is looking at the same thing, only with more emphasis on humans. Innocence is more demanding of its viewer, the character speak in quotes, the storylines are warped in a mix of reality and illusions. Parasite Dolls is much simpler yet it carries a similar spirit. Also both are action-packed and fun to watch, check them out!

Both are cyberpunk renditions involving special branches of the police in cases in which androids, malfunctioning or being targeted, happen to raise some interesting ethical questions. as many of our own doings are not proper actions (do not have clearly articulated intentions), with these dools, boomers and gynoids, there are boundaries being crossed or confused. but aren't they also being mixed in the humans themselves?
