Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure

Similar magical girls fighting the bad guys...Similar focus on the main character and her love interest...sailor moon has a lot more to it tho along with a lot more seasons. More drama, but no singing. 

both about girls who transform and help save the world. 

This anime provides a very different take on magical girls and their daily lives. It carries a much darker tone that makes the show and its premise more realistic and believable. It also provides a greater range of emotions than Mermaid Melody, with some moments being sad, some funny, and some heart warming. If you would like a different perspective on something you love, I would really recommend this series. 

They're both about a love that can't happen but yet its still very cute. Both are funny, shocking at some points, inspiring, and brings joy to the inner child in everyone. 

It focuses on music... and I think Luchia and Mitsuki looks similar... Mermaid Melody's story has a light atmosphere, but Full Moon has a sad atmosphere... But I recommend this to those who like Music ^^ 

SPOILER The plot of this movie is very much the same one of Mermaid Melody Pure. The main male love interest is thought possibly dead, is rescued by a physically sick lady, main male has amnesia, they get together, he eventually sees his old real love interest but doesnt realize at first, new sick love interest is aware and keeps saying things like "stay by my side, I need you" and manipulates the emotions of the main male. TLDR; super frustrating to watch. But in a good way. You know what is going to happen, but it still enthralls you. The movie is better than the show in the aspect of you are frustrated for less amount of time. read more 

well, they both involve singers, or talented actresses. >< and both of thm are nice, and have a secret past (which is revealed, at the end).
