Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon

watching Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon is like watching chrome shelled regios, why? they have the same action, student battle, many character or unexpected character that you dont know what they are allies or foe.  

History is recreated in the far future combining both western and eastern periods of war with lots of different historical figures from different time periods Differences: Nobunaga the Fool is more action and less comedy with ecchi than Horizon and also doesn't have strange speaking patterns 

Both are about politics, fast dialogue and fast fighting. 

-A lot of discussions on Politics, Economics and Strategy. -A lot of likable characters. 

Both have students with advanced battle equipment, and something like a mecha style and very much oppai to see (oh wait, that's not the point) 

The MC are identical becouse they are both pervs and they both have good female characters around them. 

Both of these Anime deal with school settings and Samurai lenages. Both also aired during the same time frame. 

You're thrown into a new world with significant differences from our own in each show. Albeit, the shows' respective story's differ largely from each other, they are both mostly character driven. The art is very stylish and clean. The two main characters are considered idiots by their peers and are, to some extent, rather whimsical. 

At first, Kyousougiga and Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon seems to take place in a historical Japan, however they actually take place in a very complex world filled with magic/technology. Both anime can sometimes be random and difficult to follow; and they have plenty of action. Difference is that Kyousougiga tries to focus on a few characters, while Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon has a huge cast of interesting characters. 

-Involving a lot of aerial warfare -emphasizing teamwork and fetters of friendship 

Both have Laughable concepts of War. 

Each of these shows have a great original spin on their already used up genres, Featuring great fighting scenes as well as excellent stories that have to do with a political nature but with more twists and parodies of how the political system works,Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon does this less subtly then Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. These shows feature many likeable characters with fun traits interesting back stories as well as their own unique look to them. Both these are great sci-fi shows that really change the face of their respective genres. 

I know they are completely nothing alike in your eyes but, they both have too much dialogue which would be considered rather important. They both have future settings; the other is dark while the other is light with humor.  

Other than the first part, Toaru Majutsu no Index II constantly made me think of Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon. - Several inconnected storylines (at least I didn't see the connections, or an overall storyline at all) -> I did not get what both series were actually about - Lots of characters (which made me constantly wonder who is who and which purpose does he/she serve?) -> could not really connect to any character, not even the mains - Lots of techno babble (which I did not understand) - Lots of sermons (which I found annoying) - Comedy in each epiosode (which I found lame) - Some great action scenes, with interesting skills and weapons (which made me keep watching both titles) So if you like series with convoluted storylines, lots of drivel, many insignificant characters, unfunny comedy and cool action scenes, both titles may be for you. read more 

Both feature large casts, and will often shift focus to whichever character has the most interesting narrative at the given moment. There is a main character who is important to the plot but isn't always heavily involved in every aspect of the narrative. As well, both shows have a heavy emphasis on comedy and using mysteries to drive the plot.  

-Both series are about wars and battles,the action can be pretty ok sometimes -Students studying at a battle academy,mecha stuff,magic,special abilities... -The main heroine and the hero share a dramatic past (*flashback alert*) -A community living on a huge ship (but in KSNH the "ships" are floating -Well,you know... fanservice and...a lot of pervy things Overall these two animes are a lot alike. There are also differences but they don't really matter because the atmosphere is pretty much the same. (^-^) 

Both humanity went to live in flying cities because of some problem, people with special abilities will solve these problems 

Both are similar with the main characters somewhat resembling each other in terms of their characteristics—being carefree. 

The shows are set in a world where the community lives on a big ship as it is the only inhabitable place left in the world. As they fight their daily battles, an extraordinarily powerful person joins their rank. Together, they fight to make it a better place. For you, and for me, and the...ahem, excuse me. There are action and romance scenes in both shows. 

Both series has a wide variety of characters. They are all part of a guild/school who band together to stop their enemies. The main theme is friendship/nakama. Add action, comedy, drama, and different abilities. Many of the characters have their own backstory that made them who they are today. You may think that they won't get any screentime but they do. Out main character meets a girl who changes his life forever. 

Similarities: - the main dish of these anime is history - girls are more powerful than boys  

War,traiding, politics, romance and action. Even thought very differend in Story and Setting, this key elements are the same.  

"War game" between countries and fun to watch war tactics. If you followed the discussion for each episode, you'll see that the fans has a lot of knowledge to share too, going far outside of the stuffs presented in the anime itself. Nice attention to the details that would add to the rewatch value after gaining more insight to that episode. They even have staff member doing dancing to the animation staff for reference. :D The difference being Horizon has a lot more political theme into it compared to the more light hearted Girls & Panzer. Also, Girls & Panzer sets the bar high by aiming for the geeks, that make sloppy accuracy even more unforgiveable. read more 

Male main characters intended to be the "king", leading the good forces. Both Shu and Tori caused the death of a important girl in their past (Mana in Guilty Crown; Horizon for Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon). Also Inori from Guilty Crown strongly resembles Mana, while "P-01s" from Horizon strongly resembles Horizon Ariadust. The two anime have events and scenes that aren't always fully understandable, with odd things. Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon is more funny, while Guilty Crown is more mature and serious. 

Both involving huge cast, slightly confusing but rewarding world settings, several interesting superpowers, multiple political factions, and the collection of lethal weapons. not to mention great songs by Ceui also Fukuyama Jun voicing the male protagonist 

Students of a certain Academy stand up fighting against/to save the world using cool and humongous mothership as a base. With deep and complicated history as a background, girls as a mood refresher and some mecha and robots as a tool to help them fulfil their mission. 

• Both can be random • Both have pretty awesome fighting scenes • Both do not make a whole lot of sense. • Imo, Both are awesome! 

In both Anime there is a girl whose emotional output and socialization ability has problems but the guy she likes works on getting her to emote either by helping her through day to day problems or by getting her emotions back. 

Well, it seems that these two series has a lot of similarities after watching both. Let's break this down: Both series main male protagonists has a sarcastic sense of humor but deep down are great guys who cares about their comrades and friends. Additionally, a main female protagonist accompanies them and they share a special bond. Both series involves magic and supernatural elements with a super power theme. Both series features an academy setting as well that teaches people how to use their abilities and perfect them. Both series contains drama, comedy, action, some romance, and also emotional moments at times.  

Both series are based off of light novels. Though the main similarities is how they were adapted into their anime. Both barely bother to explain to you the minor details and you'll find yourself confused throughout both series unless you have prior knowledge of them from the light novels or any other source, although SAO does explain 'some' of its terminology. But regardless of understanding, both series are still enjoyable even with the lack of understanding. The overall genre of the two are fairly the same as well, as in action, adventure, fantasy, romance.  

Both titles deal with sci-fi themed war stories, a huge cast of equally well-developed characters, a multilayered narration of political intrigues, country management and a rich side dish of historical references and battle of wits. Horizon might seem more light-hearted, action-oriented and dumb at first, but it shares with LoGH the same epic (as in "full of heroism and grandeur") atmosphere, typical of this kind of tales. 

The premise and setting of the stories are very similar, with a lot of drama, romance and tactical fighting. Both very interesting series that will pull you into their worlds.  

Both series contain action and a strange cast of characters. Both series contain fantasy themes. Both series' protagonists are independent and strange in a sense. Both series' main heroine also have a mysterious background surrounding them. Both series contain comedy and drama.
