Short and limited review for a few interesting points, not looking to spoil anything overall. The story does have a slow start and didn’t really get going till around episode 4-5 for me.
Tasuuketsu Is a death game themed show, the story follows a group teaming up in the death game to find and stop the creator with various hurdles along the way. It has some aspects similar to Btoom or Future diary but less on screen violence but it’s still there.
While being a death game simply killing each other indiscriminately isn’t the initial goal. The participants must find terminals to submit questions to the emperor, who will then pick a question to tally the responses of yes or no based on the factual truth and then one side is not so lucky afterwards.
Features godlike abilities that can be gained called “prime rights” but they require a sacrifice of varying sorts to gain them. Then there are “rights” which while useful are not comparable to prime rights and do not require a sacrifice.
The show does a good job of building suspense between episodes along with the many plot twists.
