The biggest similarity between these two manga is that both have at least one MC with a troubled past who is able to look beyond their troubles and find solace in an unexpected partner. Apart from that:
# One of the MC is shunned/kept at a distance by the rest of the school
# The MC's partner has friends, and MC is slightly jealous regarding that
# No question of confused sexualities - everybody knows who they are right from the beginning of the manga
# Supportive besties
Rouge's art is not in the same league as Asa to Mitya, so keep that in mind when reading it.
