In both of the mangas there are cute main girls (Ren and Chii) and guys take care of them.
Also in the first Ren doesn't speak japanese and Chii says nothing more than "Chii".

Both are about boys who find/meet girls who are not from their planet and in the end fall in love. Both have 8 Volumes.

mostly the same storyline with a few drastic changes, both feature a cute girl whos more than she seems and is learning about the human race ;3 they are also both very moe with one taking a turn into harem territory even. If you liked either of these you should look into the other.

If you take Chobits and switch out robot girls with alien chicks you get DearS. It has a similar feel to it that kind of goes:
"Boy meets girl, fan service, girl can only say one word, fan service, boy uses his creative genius to name girl after the one word she says, fan service, girl falls madly in love with boy, fan service, boy's life is turned upside down by girl, fan service, girl tells boy she loves him, some kind of conflict, conflict resolves, fan service, boy tells girl he loves her, fan service, happy ending."
