Both are romantic comedies centered on childhood friends who had drifted apart and since reunited, but now with their sexual differences more pronounced the relationship is inevitably changed.
-Tomo-chan starts with the male love interest, Jun, failing to recognize Tomo's charm since she's tall and still acts very boyish. Tomo tries to increase her feminine appeal with the help of the sadistic Misuzu and airheaded Carol as a result.
-Osanajimi reunites the main pair after 10 years apart with Matsuri replaying much of her tomboyish behavior back then but now flustering Daisuke as a result of her feminine transformation.
