Although the only thing both protagonists really have in common is their initial status as loners and misfits, the settings vaguely have the same school, slice-of-life feel. Onani Master Kurosawa probably has more seriousness, poignancy and 'onani' than Again!!, but both feature the ideas of change, growth, breaking out of the shell and meeting characters with just as many layers.
Both feature an unpopular, socially excluded highschool character who tends to ridicule mainstream highschool life but through the course of the story changes their outlook - albeit due to very different driving forces.
Onani Master Kurosawa's MC is a genuine prick to begin with whereas Again!!'s MC is a kind guy. Again!! has a more light-hearted feel due to the MC being a less dark individual, although it's still as realistic.
