Both have that same "different school" element whether its monsters or magicials, but both are superb....highly reccomend both
Although R+V had a lot romance in it, they both have the same feel to it.
Also the main male protagonists are in the same situation where they are forced to stay in a place where they do not belong.
If you want to read a series with the following criteria: action, ecchi, cute girls fighting, little bit of flashback here and there, and an amazing plot. Then read either of these two series, as they share much similarity.
Watch as the protagonist changes throughout the whole series. Both series are great and you will regret it for not reading it.
Manga that contain a lot of ecchi-ness, mystery, and action, in a supernatural setting. The male MC in both series have their own harem, with an obvious main girl.
The male leads attend school with their casts of harem, except that they attend abnormal school set in another world! In R+V, MC attends the youkai school filled with every kind of monster. Thus, his harem also consist of various "monster girls". In Immortal Regis, MC attends a magic school. His harem consists of many magicians, even including a necromancer.
