THe main characters of both series both have a similar approach toward youkai: they try-not-to-kill-if-possible attitude towards youkai them even if have had bad experiences with them. Both of them have youkai in their daily lives, and both try to help others with their problems regardless of race.
However, for all the mc's similarities, they also have their differences. Tactic's Kantarou is more sly and amiable toward youkai while NY's Natsume is more instinctive and aloof towards youkai.

Both manga are about a guy who was ostracized because he could see spirits.
In tactics, though, the mc is a lot more friendly that natsume. Both try to help the spirits, but natsume dislikes them more than kantarou does.
Tactics has a continuous storyline while natsume yuujinchou is a lot more episodic and emotional.
