Both series start with a girl (Aoi in Ookami, Yasuna in Kashimashi) rejecting the main character (Keitarou in Ookami, Hazumu in Kashimashi) over a fear of guys due to them being unable to see them (just faces in Ookami, whole body in Kashimashi).
Main characters in both are forced to undergo changes that enable them to get close to their love interest (crossdressing in Ookami, sex change in Kashimashi).
Both involve a love triangle with a childhood friend of one of the two involved (Aoi's friend Botan in Ookami, Hazumu's friend Tomari in Kashimashi) with similar personalities and even twintail hairstyles.
