Both involve a author seme who is socially a-head in class and status, although hides it and avoids parties/events. Both involve a student uke who is inexperienced with romance and love. Both have similar drama scenarios, including acceptance, confusion, miscommunication and third-party conflicts. The only differences are: JR has more comedy and is a longer/on-going series vs KwSdA which is a one volume series and concentrates more on "fluff and heart-warming scenes.
