I''s is done by the same mangaka, and is also an excellent series. If you loved Video Girl Ai, then get ready for another complex and emotion filled romance manga! You'll find the art is stepped up quite a bit since the '90 release of VGA. I assure you, you wont walk away from I''s disappointed!

For one, they're both by the same author. They both follow a guy who has his heart set for a girl who isn't interested in him the same way, who then is confused by other girls that fall in love with him. They both have a great and realistic cast of characters, and have lots of exciting and embarrassing moments, that aren't like a typical romance anime, in fact they are both less about comedy and more about romance.

Both are from the same author, and start with an insecure male student pining over his female classmate. The most obvious distinction is that Video Girl has a sci-fi/fantasy element to it, while I''s does not.
