Both manga feature characters who tour a desolate world, recording parts of it to preserve it after the end. While they are cosy and sweet to read, they are also melancholic and sad, particularly in their setting and situations.
Both feature a sleepy apocalypse--Hoshi Tabi Shounen's is currently ongoing, and Girls Last Tour is post-end. Both worlds feel more asleep, buried under imagery of stars and snow, rather than action-blockbuster-destroyed.
They are also both drawn in very cute styles
