In a world full of monsters, the protagonists must survive- fighting together in a team.
There are some differences- RWBY is a spin-off and anthology, in contrast to Douluo Dalu being a manhua.
I would recommend RWBY to Duoluo Dalu because it is an introduction to a life at an academy to fight against monsters. With a grey-haired teacher (Grandmaster: DD, and Ozpin: RWBY), there are many similarities, but these two series are great introductions to fascinating and complex worlds of conflict and chaos, sharing many similar themes.
Give it a try. It's worth the shot.
