You read that right.
If anything, Nabari no Oh is more similar to Evangelion than Naruto by a loooooooong stretch.
Both have existential conflicts revolving around well-intentioned but evasive and fragile main characters (Hedgehog's Dillema).
Both are something of character studies; Eva around dissecting and deconstructing character archetypes of anime/manga and unveiling psychological illnesses and general diagnostics on their corresponding psyches, how their upbringings and the events that transpire over the course of the series affect these things, and how they become more primal and relatable problems to ourselves in real life. Meanwhile Nabari tackles the worldviews and ambitions of various characters with essentially the power of Instrumentality
