Regular teenager gets put unusually large weight on him, in terms of psychological stress and responsibility and has fight this state to be able to protect those around him. Both protagonist don't get along with their fathers, and that's a huge understatement. Both comics explore psychological themes.
Both fathers of the main characters are egotistical psychopaths who have way too much power, subordinates and time on their hands. The mothers are dead and both main characters keep longing for them. The main characters are scrawny teenagers who have no social confidence because of their fathers' abandonment. The main characters have to face their fathers' evil deeds and save everyone that has been targetted by them.
