This two stories are from the same artist. They both got a really good story.
Only the genres are different. Vagabond is a samurai/historical manga when Real is a sports (basketball) manga, but I bet you'll like this one too!
Both manga are by the same author, and they both feature characters trying to achieve their dreams and struggle to overcome the things holding them back.

Both are stories made my Takehiko Inoue, thus that covers the similarities in art.
And if you're familiar with Inoue's work, you'd know he loves character driven drama.
Both Vagabond and Real fall into that category.
If you're hesitant towards real because its basketball and you aren't into sports manga. Trust me, basketball is just as relevant to real as sword fighting is to Vagabond; which is, pretty less. It's mainly about the stories of different people, how they develop, how they overcome and improve; trying to achieve happiness.
Both are great reads.
