Both series also feature regular people who are somewhat forced into unusual occupations due to their tragic pasts.
The plot has not much (if nothing) in common, but to me, the narrative seems quite similiar. Like these little stories, often 100% slice of life amidst the main Plot, which however give space to character development and exploring them further in dept. Hence the overall atmosphere seems to go sort of the same direction, through Blood Alone seems (yet? I have read 6 vols) much more "cosy".
