Both Black Lagoon and Dogs: Bullets & Carnage (and it's prequel, Dogs) have great action sequences, cutting edge art, and a cast of interesting and colorful characters. Both have characters that make a living out of shady, if not illegal work, and awesome gunslingin' action. In between all this gritty fighting, both series have time for refreshing humor. Although Dogs: Bullets & Carnage has more of a serious, gloomy overtone, I highly recommend it for anyone who likes Black Lagoon, and visa versa.
Plus, both series have creepy, eerily cute, homicidal twins. Now who can resist that?
If you loved Black Lagoon's action, you will love Dogs: Bullets & Carnage. The action scenes for each manga are intense and drawn very well. Their stories are also somewhat similar.
Action, brutality, and work that puts their lives in danger every single day. Black Lagoon and Dogs: Bullets & Carnage brings out the best of the characters' persona from the surface through their stories.
Both series' main characters plays the role of an anti-hero with controversial actions although they do care about their comrades. During their line of work, they encounter adversaries and challenges that puts their lives at risk. They tell their stories firsthand of exactly who they are as of today.
Both series star anti-heroes who are insanely trigger-happy. Many of the heroes/heroines harbor grisly pasts that fuel their present-day lusts for violence. These mangas' explosive, over-the-top action sequences are drawn in dazzling detail that could easily rival big-budget Hollywood action flicks.
