Mangas about acting and show biz. Both protagonists face a lot of difficulties and people trying to "take them down" in their attempts at becomming a popular actress.
Both are independent, smart and assertive, and have faced a lot of sadness and torment in the past.
Skip beats is a comedic shoujo manga with a lot of silly drama and romance, while Kasane is a more serious seinen manga with a lot of silly drama and ...ye no no romance here.
Big difference is although both protagonists have real acting talent, Kasane uses the help of supernatural means: a mysterious lipstick that lets her temporarily swap her appearances

Even though these two come from completely different genres (Kasane is a psychological thriller while Skip Beat could arguably be considered a josei), I think the way they approach the world of performance is quite similar. Both are worthwhile readings and if you are looking for mangas about drama and acting, these two are very good options.
