Both deal with taboo relationships — in K.n.Z.'s case, about drastic age differences, and in Aki-Sora's case, about incest; both also deal with psychologically complex characters, sexual coercion, and childhood traumas. Aki-Sora can get significantly darker than K.n.Z. in its graphic treatment of rape and has very explicit sex scenes compared to the latter, whereas K.n.Z. has more humor to it.
