They're both love stories between two artists with the female being good but sort of a beginner while the male being an "art prodigy" of some sort. They're made by the same mangaka too.
Both the stories are based on art and have artists falling in love with one another. Though 24 colors is short story, both the mangas have done full justice to the story as well as the theme.
Both the stories have female leads who are new to love, though in crayon days the male protagonist is a tsundere, but the story is adorable and I personally loved the art depicted in the manga (drawn by the characters).
