Reading Bug made me remember Gantz in these ways:
* Strange things happen in parallel with the everyday world. You got this normal world while actually there are aliens, hacks, parallel universes or stuff that people are not aware of.
* Both have creepy and weird elements in story and art that matches it. E.g. objects having human appearances. Both are targeted at Seinen audience after all.
As for differences Gantz (finished series) was more edgy/fanservice and action, Bug Ego (new series) has more comedy and mystery solving (at least for now, some edgy elements are there in later chapters).
